I was raped a few years ago and I still havent been able to sleep. Im getting ready to go drink my nightly wine and pills I have from hiding them over the past few years. Its the only way I can go to sleep. I dont have any options in my mind. Im not even 20 years old yet. Just please pray for me that I can go on ?

thats an awful thing to happen

God teaches that women are to be cherished

pray often that God will help heal your emotional wounds and
not depend on wine and pills.

it may be ok to take medicine to help you sleep, just like
taking it for a headache or cold etc. but mixing alchohol
with it is never a safe option and its not in Gods will that you
do so.

seek the Holy Spirit of God at all times for he is the Great
comforter and always pray for others as well

I am sorry that this happened to you.I can only tell you that it was his problem and not something you did.The way to get past it is to realize that you were a victim but you don't have to live your whole life as a victim. Why the hell would you continue to give this guy anymore power over you?It is like he is raping you again every single night.Stop it.You have the power within yourself to stop letting him hurt you!The only way to do this is to claim victory over your assailant by refusing to be afraid or ashamed or repeated hurt by him.He is nothing ,He is dust ,Insignificant !You have the Power Use It.

Words cannot truely express my deepest sorrows. Not solely for you, but for all who share this dispicable event.

(I am athiest, but will pver words as I should to a Christian)

I can only share my words as a mere 16 yr old. Life goes on. Its that simple. I cannot offer prayer to you, nor do I think that is what you need. God will protect you regardless of what prayers we say. HE knows your struggle and hardship. I myself do not believe God to have anything to do with this happening, I see it as the acts of a sickening person who acted upon his own agency.

I offer my sincerest thoughts for you. I am quite close, emotionally, to several rape victims.

If there you ever have the need to just vent annonymously, you can e-mail me. I'll respond in anyway I can. I am not offering a fix for you, I know I cant. But I can offer all that may be offered over the internet.

Cheers and sincerest thoughts

Little one. My daughter is just 16 and I would cry and be very upset if anything happened to her like that. I can certainly have a sympathetic heart for someone like you that something special was taken from you. I would like you to pray with me that Jesus would come into your heart and heal it. You will probably always remember what happenedm but it is how you deal with those feelings when something reminds you of it. I know the Jesus can help. I am married to a woman that had that occur in her youth. I know for a fact that Jesus can help.

Have you spoken with a counselor or therapist? You should get some professional help to facilitate the healing process. If you can't afford it, sometimes there are organizations that can assist you in getting no-cost help. Not being able to sleep is pretty serious. I would talk to a psychiatric professional pretty soon.

BTW, self medication is not the answer. Your life is still worth something. Don't give up on yourself,

You should probably go see a counselor about this or maybe even join a support group. My cousin was gang raped and kept herself locked in her bedroom literally, only slipping out to use the bathroom. For 4 years she stayed in there. Her parents talked her into doing this group therapy and now she is happily married with a baby boy.

You have to keep your head high and pass through this. This is only a means of the devil to keep you bound. Use what happened to you to help someone else. They do have self help groups. I know its hard but you have to pressed through this and i guarantee you will be blessed. The first step is talking about it so you are headed in the right direction

I just finished the prayer. I'm so sorry this happened to you. It wasn't your fault at all, and I hope you are getting help and support for all of this. There are techniques to combat insomnia that you could look into. Lotsa love, can't imagine how you feel. xxx

since you mentioned prayer, I thought maybe you'd like these quotes that have comforted me before:
For this people's hearts have become calloused. They hardly hear with their ears and they have closed their eyes.
Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts and in turn, I would heal them. - Jesus (promising to heal our hearts. pretty cool, I think)
I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.- Ezekiel
From the ends of the earth I call out to you. I call as my heart grows faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I - Psalms/King David
No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him- 1 Corinthians
