Growing spiritually means learning to control the more carnal appetites. My "appetites" are healthier than they were before I committed to living a life to please God. I strive to do things in moderation, and the peace of mind that I have now is better by far than the highs and lows that I subjected myself to before I converted. I am able to give joyfully to help those that I can, and I have learned to let go of the things that I can not change. I have not arrived, but I am persuaded that I am headed in the right direction!

Having a well-developed spiritual life can help you see the dignity and honor in humanity. My own spirituality causes me to always seek a higher level of excellence.

When we are spiritually close to God our creator, we can not do wrong to ourselves and to others knowing that God knows every second what we do and we will have to face God one day to answer for our deeds. Being conscious of God all the time makes us a good people.
Those who don't believe in existence of God and don't being in Last day of Judgment have no fear of any wrong doing and can do what ever they feel like doing.
