my mother is very religous, believing in god,
i grew up believing, and prayd before i slept,
"by the grace of the lord gesus christ and the fellowship of the holy spirit, be with us all forever more amen"
that was my daily prayr.
but as ive grown older, im not so sure, i even sometimes cures religion.
The problem im having is i want to believe in god (and i do believe in gesus christ and i respect him) but im having doubts about believing in god. its hard for me to believe in what i want to believe in. you know what im saying.

I mean, it's not God's fault that Man created Him, so, why would Man be pointing his finger at God?

For all we know St. Peter could be sending the wrong people to heaven and the right people to hell.

(Exodus 21:7-11 NLT)
When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again.

I have NEVER heard a happy ending cult story. Manson, Jonestown, Branch Davidians, Heaven's Gate, & even the polygamous cults like the FLDS were/are very dangerous & destructive. Does the so-called prophet or leader just trick or brainwash the weak-minded?

Even though Hades (or Sheol) and Gehenna are all translated Hell, they both have different meanings. Hades/Sheol isn't a place just for the wicked, its a placed where people are preserved with a hope of the resurrection.

Jesus was sent to Hades and waited for his resurrection.

Acts 2:25-27
"For he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: Therefore my heart was glad, and my tongue rejoiced; Moreover my flesh also shall dwell in hope: Because thou wilt not LEAVE MY SOUL UNTO HADES, Neither wilt thou give thy Holy One to see corruption.

Job expected to goto Sheol and be preserved until his resurrection.

Job 14:13-14 "Oh that thou wouldest hide me in SHEOL, That thou wouldest keep me secret, until thy wrath be past, That thou wouldest appoint me a set time, and REMEMBER ME! If a man die, shall he live again? All the days of my warfare would I wait, TILL MY RELEASE SHOULD COME."

I just asked a question about if its okay to have sex on a desert island if theres no preacher around and a lot of Christians said if you make a committment before God then you are considered married in his eyes.

if this is the case then why do you bother getting married in a civil ceremony that is acknowledged by the government? especially if you say the sanctity of marriage is ruined in our culture? why bother? couldn't you just have sex anyway if you're married in Gods eyes, then why do you say premarital sex is wrong?

It is not even one of the Ten Commandments

It seems like just as many people are adulterers, which IS one of the Ten Commandments

yet I do not hear anything about Christians condemning people who cheat on their spouses

how come?

I swear i'm going somewhere with this!

lets say its your bf/gf and you love him or her but you cant get married bc your on an island by yourselfs.

or even if its someone you didnt know but you were stuck on the island for years together and fell in love.

would it be a sin to have sex even if you love each other and are committed just because theres not a pastor there to perform the ceremony?

So did George Washington so were these Men of Honor or Heathens that needed forgiveness? or maybe they just were using thier personal convictions of common sense?
Jefferson said-Christianity is the most perverted system that ever shone on man." Is that why he could cheat on his wife make a a baby with his slave? He also said-"The Christian god can easily be pictured as virtually the same god as the many ancient gods of past civilizations. The Christian god is a three headed monster; cruel, vengeful and capricious. *SO what was the reason he beat and killed his slaves?*
Jesus said that men would be known by their fruits..."Ye shall know them by their fruits..." (Matthew 7:16).

Everyone who deny's GOD makes an excuse for thier bad behaviour

Are you showing your fruits?

I often ask if God can do something silly like duplicate himself, and I always get some Christians saying "no". As a proper Christian, wouldn't they believe God is omnipotent? Do they not see the problem here? I could accept "yes, but he won't" but some of them say "no". WTF? Is our school system really that bad?

Do you think your corpse will blush when it realizes that the whole act was for nothing? Or, if there’s a God, do you think he’ll be pissed that you were dishonest with him?

I believe homosexuality is wrong. Im not posting this to upset anyone so please don't get offended and assume that Im here to bash because Im not. Im having an ongoing discussion about this with someone who is gay. I noticed in our conversation that she kept referring to the Hebrew scriptures and how she didn't see the word "homosexual"? I found a couple of scriptures for her to read so that she can see for herself. Read Romans 1:24-27 and 1Corinthians 6:9-11. The words "homosexual" or "homosexuality" are not used but the scriptures are clearly talking homosexuality. What do you think?

I came across this news report, and it opened my eyes. If Romans 13 wants us to surrender our civil liberties and follow George W. Bush, it is our duty as Christians to do so.

Won't you Christians do your patriotic duty and surrender all your liberties so that our country can stay Christian.
