I came across this news report, and it opened my eyes. If Romans 13 wants us to surrender our civil liberties and follow George W. Bush, it is our duty as Christians to do so.

Won't you Christians do your patriotic duty and surrender all your liberties so that our country can stay Christian.

Pardon me, but your ignorance is showing.

The highest law of the land in the U.S. is the constitution, and by this these people rule. If they violate the constitution, they are no longer afforded the respect and all due to them otherwise.

Else, we would follow wicked men by the will of God? I think not.

Romans 13:1-7 does speak of a Christians obligation to obey the government under which they live, but it is only a relative subjection. Christians do not obey a command that violates a direct law of God.(Mark 12:17)

When martial law is in effect, the Christian views it as his/her duty to obey the government, as long as they are not asked to disobey a direct law of God. They would obey curfews imposed.

Christians are peaceful. Some of them hunt animals for food or live in areas where wild animals are a danger, so they might have a gun in their home to use for these reasons. But they do not own guns for the purpose of protection against other humans.(Isaiah 2:4)

Christians imitate Jesus: They are neutral towards politics, including the gun control issue. Their leader is Jesus and they are subjects of God's Kingdom by Christ Jesus. John 6:14,15; 17:16

Thanks for the Info--I already knew that they could use the Armed Forces.

Didn't know about the Gun Confiscation.
Now, that dosen't make any Sense.

But, the Only Thing that Does make Sense when EveryThing Else is Going South is--

Jesus Christ, Risen from the Dead

Yeah, they can have my Bible when My Hands are Dead and Cold.
(they can have Hell too!)

Whoever wrote that article couldn't even get the Charlton Heston quote right. It was, "From my cold dead hands," which is an abbreviated version of the old saw, "You can take my gun when you pry it from my cold dead hands."
