If I weren't married and was stuck on an Island with my boyfriend (my Husband in reality) I would marry him in my heart and make vows to one another in God's presence.
It probably is a sin, but I don't find anything wrong with it if it is solely because of a lack of a pastor.
Didn't someone take a woman into his tent in Genesis and they were married without a pastor or ceremony because they were married in their hearts when they had sex?

I say go ahead who cares. After all if your stuck on an island Im sure your gonna sin once or twice while your there and you cant go to confession. So your gonna go to hell anyway. If Adam and Eve can do it why cant you. Hell Eve was supposedly created from Adam that means sleeping with family is ok right? Now the real question is do the priest who touch little boys go to HELL? Sorry to troll but there are so many things wrong with the church now days.

well a sin is a sin and circumstances dont take it away. I say when they get off the island they should go get married if they truely love each other. Christ elevated marriage to a sacrament, and it is a holy vocation, if your called to it. Sex without marriage would violate the chasity and purity necessary to enter into the married state.

I would get it on with them even if I was married to someone not on the island, but I would probably wait at least 4 to 4.5 days first.

This isn't the 3rd century!
I had sex with my husband long before we got married.
Staying true is for some, not for all.
We are devout christians, don't say we're not because we had sex before marriage yaddy yaddy yadda.
I don't believe in that.
The bible is for teachings but we don't take the entire lot literally.
We were married a year before we got pregnant with our first.

Married in the eyes of god is really all that matters.
If it was serious and for permanent (bad wording, eww) than you don't need one.
But some kind of ceremony would prolly be good, just for the ritualistic part of your brain.
Plus, whatever happens afterwords is the "honeymoon". Hell, you could do it on the altar!

is it just the 2 of you, or a few other? You could have someone there do a ceremony for ya...so that you make a commitment in front of others and then go for it! :-)

No where in the bible does it say that you need a piece of paper to get married. Man made those rules. IF you before God (and he knows your heart) pledge yourself to that person he will not be upset.
Are there mango trees there? i hope not.

With my beliefs? Only if I said before God that I was committing to that person for the rest of my life. Then, and ONLY then, would I have sex with them.
