I Believe in God because he has healed me of a deadly cancer
I Believe in God because he has rescued me so many times despite myself
I believe in God because I can see him in all of creation
I believe in God because I can feel him deep within my soul
I believe in God because he revealed himself to me
I believe in God because the Holy Spirit pulled the blinders off
I THANK GOD THAT HE BELIEVED ENOUGH IN ME TO GIVE ME JESUS.

this question will raise controversies sometimes....but I think people believe in god cause they believe that everything in this planet was created with a reason and by some higher being. Some people wants to believe that their is someone or something out there guiding, guarding, and helping them cause they feel that they can't do anything by themselves.
In any case, a God is like an invisible order. Imagine a place where no one believes in God, it would be filled with anger, greed, and complete darkness. Since humans have their natural instinct to be wild, if they think that their is no limit to what their doing and nobody's going to make them pay, then they will ended up on consuming there freewill and abusing it. But with the belief of a God's presence will remind this humans about self control and limitations. Its like a building conscience from a physical or rather spiritual aspect that guides humans to a better and peaceful life.

Because I was drawn by the Holy Spirit at age 19 in a very powerful way. I have felt His mighty presence and he changed my life.
From the Old Testament alone, more than 2000 specific prophesies have been fulfilled.
No other so called Holy book compares.Most of the 333 prophesies concerning the Messiah were fulfilled by the birth and life of Jesus Christ and the rest will be fulfilled at His second coming. A mathematician, Peter Stoner, had his graduate students calculate what the odds would be of any one person fulfilling just eight of these prophesies. He found the chance was one in 100,000,000,000,000,000 !Only a God who knows the future could have revealed these prophesies to those that He would have record them in His Word.
In spite of what is being taught today, the truth is we can reconstruct most of the life of Jesus Christ through non - Christian writers of the first century. Even Celsus who despised Christianity, never considered claiming that Jesus Christ did not exist.This is what can be learned from the writing of Celsus...
He was born of a virgin in a small village of Judea;
He was adored by wise men;
His birth was followed by the slaughter of infants by order of Herod;
He took flight to Egypt, where Celsus supposed Christ learned the charms of the Magicians;
After returning, He resided in Nazareth;He was baptized and the Holy Spirit descended on Him as a voice was heard from heaven;
He elected disciples;
He was a friend with publicans and other low people;
He cured the lame and blind;
He raised people from the dead;
He was betrayed by Judas;
He was denied by Peter;
In addition Celsus refers to several details of Christ's passion, crucifiction, and resurrection.
Twenty seven books of the New Testament, nineteen Pagan writers, and three Jewish writers testify to Jesus Christ's historical reality. When I hear people say that Jesus or the Bible is just a myth I just realise that they are simply unaware of the facts.I recommend The Case For Christ by Lee Strobel and or Skeptics Answered or The Gate Of Hell Shall Not Prevail by D. James Kennedy, and The Signature of God by Grant R. Jeffrey. May all your thoughts be taken captive by the Holy Spirit. Amen.

I believe in God because I studied science for 7 years and I can see him in this earth and it's processes.
However I had a very bad experience with Christianity when I was younger, and as a consequence shy away from organized religion. Not to mention most Christians in this country seem to be Fox News-believing, Jerry Falwell worshipping wackos. Sorry, that was a little rude, like I said I had a bad experience!

because the alternative is unthinkable; To my way of reasoning, a cosmos without God, a creative intelligent designer of the universe, just simply could not have happened on its own. You just can't get something out of nothing, its impossible by all measure of probability and science, otherwise it would still be happening. Something/Someone planned the universe then created it, and since the universe is so vast and magnificent, just think what kind of mind would have conceived of it! Many people from many different faiths would agree with that basic premise, the problem lies with people's intrepretation of who/what God is and which religion is the "correct" one.

I believe in God because I don't believe all the beautiful creatures, plants, oceans and mountains came about randomly. When I look at nature or walk in the woods, hear the ocean, it's very spiritual for me. There have also been personal experiences in my life where answers were given to important questions. I don't belong to any religious group. It is just a belief I have had since childhood.

It's kinda like that Poison song "Something to believe in"
I think faith helps you get thru life. For some atheists it's calming to know they are in control of their own destiny..no divine intervention or spiritual insight.Everyone has faith..it just doesn't necessarily mean in God.

Im a true believer of jesus. He has healed every spirit every demon, not Christ like, and non religion soul. Jesus died for us so that we can breath fresh air, walk the streets, have family members, and it kills me that people don't care nothing about jesus and he did alls this for us.

Because I do.
Experience, the great teacher, has given me great teachings and situations in life that has shown God's Almighty Power and Might. I have grown steadfast in His love. I will be faithful to Him as He is to me,
You may not understand it, for it is hard to explain in common terms.
I believe because I believe.

Too much experience with the occult shows me that it's logically improbable for their to be no Godlike creature to exist in a universe that is exponentially growing.
