The god of the OT orders genocide, sends plagues, kills babies all over the place and is generally pretty nasty!
Jesus' "Father" is loving, compassionate, forgiving and all that good stuff.
I think they may be two different Gods!

I always thought that made him sound like a complete weenie anyway, but since he can't do that, then he can't go to Gay.com, right? Can't see what we're doing, can't smite anybody--and then they say that hell is the absence of god, so if he can't stand it there, and has to run home crying like a little girl to the Holy spirit because there's fellas hugging and fellas kissing, then I guess that means the good lord's missing--right?

When we are little we all have imaginary friends at least one time in our young lives (aww so cute). But if we are thirty and have one we have to go the therapy (im not thirty nor do I have one). So! My question is as follows! Why can we believe in God when we are thirty (who might as well be 'imaginary') but not have a friend who WE can create his/her destiny. Why do we all have to have the same imaginary friend?

My imaginary friend and is called "Invisobill" he's the coolest!

And I am athiest so don't try to convert me, just answer the question at hand please.

I've wondered this before, and while watching america's most wanted, it came back to me somehow, and decided to ask it on here.

A. let's just say I saw a murderer somewhere nearby and whatever, I randomly killed him/her and has already killed many other people. Would it be still be a sin?

B. I saw someone killing someone else, I run up to that person, and I somehow kill him/her. sin, or not?

C. And in self defense, I killed a murderer trying to kill me, and killed other people. sin?
or
D. trying to kill me, and hasn't killed anyone else before. sin?

and I heard murder is the only unforgiving sin, so, I would like to know this stuff, even though it may never happen, but just in case. there is actually a murder every few minutes in the USA........ sad.

The overwhelming majority of atheists on this website are males, and most Christians I see are female. Is this a real coorelation or is it just in my imagination?

One of my good friends is in 11th grade and is pregnant. She is Catholic and goes to ccd classes (catechism) and is doing extra classes to be confirmed. She's only 17. So even though she is pregnant can she still be confirmed in the catholic church?

Do see a more liberal and less Dogmatic, Catholic Church emerging from American Roman Catholics. I just notice that Roman Catholics in America seem to be less "strict" in practicing the Dogma of the Church and was wondering if anyone sees a "America Catholic Church" forming.
