One could say im looking to deep into things, but I think not. Ive noticed how our dreams speak to us symbolically, as does the bible. And in the past year it seems I have awoken to noticing people in my waking life who knowingly or unknowingly speak parables. Some which seem to answer questions I have. Anyone else notice such a thing.

I'm reading the book Franny and Zooey, and it's about the Jesus Prayer.
The Jesus Prayer is where you have to continuosly pray "Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner." untill it becomes so regular, you do it without even thinking.

This sounds a lot to me like a form of OCD called Scrupulosity. Scrupulosity is where you pray continuously becasue you feel that you aren't bieng forgiven. Which is kinda what The Jesus Prayer is saying.

Do you see what I mean?

Someone explain the difference to me, casue it's confusing why anyone would make themselves have OCD.

Are we not to stand strong in Faith? And if so then why aren't you? It is not that far to walk, are you just afraid. Not saying I have not had a lot of weak moments. But we are to be what we are. We are Strong. Let our Strength show in our Faith. God is not failing us, so therefore lets not fail Him

or you're just introducing a god according to your opinion of what God should be?

think about it, because I highly doubt you're doing anyone a favor, not even yourselves.

*****this is a theoretical question, I'm not wanting to...

Since many Atheists(like 99%) claim that Atheism is *not* a religion...can we ban it?

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"

So since it says Congress can't pass a law for or against a religion...and Atheism isn't a religion...can we, therefore, technically ban it?

I read an article about Mother Theresa and the article connected her with St. Theresa of Avila and with St. Therese of Lisieux (if I spelled that right). That is, Mother Theresa's name might be taken from either or both of the saints. So I'm curious. Is St. Therese's book available on line any place, in French or in English?

I hear all the time about members of the church, and what it is all about. Maybe it has something to do with Nuking Volcanoes or Tom Cruise. But what I want to know is why the media targets it so much. I have heard stories of the misdeeds of the church, but I really feel like I have only heard rumors. What does this "religion" believe, and what popular musicians, movie stars, and other important members of society are involved with this church, and if you can, tell me why they chose to believe in this church?
*If you attempt to answer this question, DO NOT CITE WIKIPEDIA. Thanks.

I don't fear death because I live for Jesus our Savior! With Jesus you have everlasting life. Without Him there is only death! Praying for the lost! Jesus loves you and He saves!

In 1532 the Spanish invaders of Peru led by Fransisco Pizarro captured the Incan leader Atahualpa (and killed 7000 of his unarmed followers after he threw a proffered Bible on the ground). The held him hostage for 8 months until a ransom of gold as big as a large room was delivered - then killed him anyway. Shiver me timbers.

Woman were created for man, Angels are all male, unless you can find ONE female angel in the bible. So if you ever call your woman a angel, you are really sexing up a male angel and comparing the angels to her.

kinda like looking at Gabreial and saying wow you are a beautiful as my woman....errr sounds funny to me...or using a male and saying your woman is as beautiful as a guy.

Why do people say that evolution can't be true (I understand many people believe God created organisms that evolved) because someone or something had to create us, we couldn't just create ourselves. But then how did God come to be, He couldn't create himself if He didn't exist.
