I don't fear death because I live for Jesus our Savior! With Jesus you have everlasting life. Without Him there is only death! Praying for the lost! Jesus loves you and He saves!

No for if I did I would not be effective. I am a Chaplain and firefighter. As a Chaplain, I know the face of death, and that the Lord Jesus Christ is the victor over death. As a Firefighter I walk where the Devil and Death do their dance to ensnare whoever they can. But I have my fire protective gear to protect my mortal body, and the Holy Spirit to protect my eternal life.

No, I do not fear death. I do not know if there is some great supernatural force looking over us from above, but I do know I have faced my life alone. I have been tried and persecuted for being honest and moralistic according tobible standards. I prayed and studied and prayed some more, yet I always hear the same silence and nothing ever changes. Either way it does not matter, because I am confident that I have done my best to live my life morally, so if I am judged so be it. If I just die I cease to exist. What is so scary about that? I've often felt that my death will be a blessing, it will be an escape from all the deception, cruelty and chaos that I have had to endure throughout my life. I look forward to death. ;-)

Hi Lady Saphira. No, I do not fear death because I got JESUS in my life. The bible says in Romans 6:23 "The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". Yes, dear friends, look to Jesus and you shall live forever and ever.

I think most people fear it, even if subconsiously. It is simply the fear of the unknown. Even those of us who believe in God do not know exactly what will happen. Will it hurt? Will I be alone at the moment of death? Who will be left behind to deal with the sorrow and pain? Will there be a light? Will there be a tunnel?

Those who have had a near death experience always seem to say they know what to expect so now they don't fear it. There are just some things most people cannot force themselves to be comfortable with until they have been experienced it themselves. Childbirth is also one of those things.

So... it wouldn't bother you if somebody came at you with a machine gun? That would bother me. I would fear a violent death. I think being eaten alive by a shark would upset me. Or falling off a really tall building. A slow painful death would also be a bummer. When AIDS became a pandemic, I used to have nightmares about it. But I'm not afraid of being dead. The way I see it is: if there's no afterlife I won't know a thing about it, and if there is, it'll be a bonus.

No I don't have a fear of death but I don't want to die in certain ways like drowning or burning up or a long illness. I'd rather it be fast, sudden. I don't fear death because I will then be with the Lord.

gorgeoustemptress, how dare you knock the bible. if you're so gorgeous, how come no picture of you in your blog. you are probably as ugly on the outside as you are on the inside.
Jennifer W. you sound so sweet, yet unrewarded, your day will come, God bless.

Someone should really read the Y!A... I'm an Atheist, and I don't fear the inevitable. My only wish is it comes in old age instead of right now, because there are a lot of things I'd like to accomplish before then.

Death isn't so bad. You just pass out of existence like going to sleep. With everlasting life you have to argue with people over the existence of God for all eternity...

No. That is only the death of the body flesh but not the death of soul or spirit who may go to heaven for eternal life with God.
