Why do people say that evolution can't be true (I understand many people believe God created organisms that evolved) because someone or something had to create us, we couldn't just create ourselves. But then how did God come to be, He couldn't create himself if He didn't exist.

see, some people believe that god created the world and everything in it in like 7 days.
so.. it was as if he just *poofed* all the animals on our planet.
but thats just some people.

Before the world was, there was God. God created the heavens and the earth and all there is, therein. I suppose He could have used evolution as a form of beginning things, but no one really knows. Christians choose to believe the Biblical accounts, others choose evolution, but the bottom line is, God did it.
Is it so hard to conceive that outside the realm of what we know and understand, there could be another way to tell time. Another way to measure time? Time as we know it, has a starting point, a present point and a future point. Is It not possible that God in His infinite wisdom, knows something that we don't know? A lot of what we believe is based on faith. That is why it is called faith.

When you try to limit God to something that you can understand and think about things go wrong, you start to find 'contradictions' and paradoxes. God is greater than we can even imagine, dont try to understand how he does things.
Im pretty much asking you that you should put away your pride in order to belive in God and accept Him. You have to accept that were to stupid to understand God, its hard to do for some people I know. It makes sence though, how could we possibly understand the creator of the universe, someone who can do that and much more must be great indeed
