Many Christians have not studied any other religions in any depth yet they claim they "chose" Christianity.

It's like saying "I love chocolate cake, it is the best, nothing else compares" when chocolate cake is all you have tasted.

How does it feel? All you people come crowding our section with your religious questions by your stupid trolls. Now it's time for revenge.

Go ahead, say what you want. I really don't care, but I've had enough of all the R&S people (If you are such good religious and spiritual people, you wouldn't be doing stupid things like bombarding the NASCAR section just to be kicked out, now would you?)

If you don't know what I'm talking about, go ahead and see for yourself. Go look at the nascar section and see all the religious questions asked by supposed R&S contributors.

And if you do know what I'm talking about, why don't you realize how stupid it is and that you will be judged one day, and I think you know what I mean.

SInce astro physisists in the UK claim that life is
1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 less likely to occur on earth than on a slushy comet why wouln't they seriously consider the possibilty God created life on earth instead of resorting to life being made on a giant slushy and crashing on earth?

I've heard that Mormons believe that Jesus came to America. According to the book of Mormon, does it say that while He was in America he healed anyone or cast out demons?

it isnt much , but it is all I have right now
hugging others makes me feel better also
when I am sad , fed up , depressed , lonely ... I find that making others happy makes me happier
so why not try it
say something to all those out there who may be feeling the same way ... cheer them up , and see how it makes you feel also
does anyone do this ?

First of all, don't insult me. That just supports the idea that the religious are ignorant. I have a few hypocricies that I'd like to see how you religious explain away to yourselves.

1) God is all love and compassion. He doesn't cause pain and suffering, only allows us to cause it for ourselves. I get that part. But in the old testament God kills the first borns. He makes the chosen people wander for 40 years in a desert. He floods the entire world.
Yet God is unchanging. If the bible is God's word, how could he have caused so much suffering in the OT, but is said to be all love in the NT?

2) How can creationism work if there were only two people created? Adam and Eve would not have had enough genetic diversity and their kids' kids would have been inbred.

3) Jesus' Golden Rule- love your neighbor as yourself, is, as He said, the number one rule. Homosexuality is, according to some religions, wrong. Yet homosexuals receive much hate from christians.

When the great flood happened, it was because there was so much sin in the earth and God was not happy with it. But, look at all the sin in the earth today. Do you think there could be another great flood; do you think that God is upset with what he sees on in his world? My camp counselor asked me this question...I wan't opinions of Christians.

I really like what you teach and think you are the only group of people teaching the truths about the bible.

But I have one problem.

I like to smoke a tobacco pipe 1-3 times a week. I don't inhale and it has not affected my health at all.

I know that smoking cigarettes in real bad for your health. The cigarette companies haved added tons of chemicals to the natural tobacco and cigarette smokers smoke large quantities of cigarettes a day and inhale to the lungs. That is totally unhealthful and damaging to the body.

But my hobby with pipes and natural tobacco does not cause any harm. Some may say that I might get lip or mouth cancer but I totally doubted with how few pipe bowls I have a month.

I could also argue that eating at Mc Donalds or eating junk food, and foods rich in sugar and saturated fat could cause cancer and/or heart disease/ or other health problems.

Been over weight is a major cause for heart problems, but there are many JW's that are overwieght.

Hello Christians!

Ok, I would like some decorum tips if I may. Just so you know I'm an Agnostic/. I am babysitting my little cousins this weekend and will end up having a sleep over there. My aunt and uncle attend church on a weekly basis and they invited me to go with them, so I figured "Sure! Why not, it will be a learning experience".

Now I've never been to church (other than weddings and funerals and maybe a Catholic mass here and there) let alone a Christian church. What would be appropriate dress attire for the church? And are Christian masses like Catholic masses (eg. communion, stand up, sit down, etc.)?

Thank you for your help. I don't want to make a fool out of myself or seem disprespectful.

Most of my friends are unintelligent in their Christianity. I know i am not a very great theologian or anything but i am not being sucked into the idiocies that my youth leaders are teaching. Our leaders are teaching stupid ideas, and the students are buying it. Some of the people i hang out with i thought were more intelligent untill they talked to me about how everyone got excited at church camp because some girl started praying in her sleep. I tried to say how the girl wasn't really praying but they just got all mad at me for not being excited about it. Should i just go along with them and let them live their blissful ignorant life or should i try and help them.

I think in a hundred or so years religion as we know it now will cease to exist. I think it will be taught in school right along side of greek mythology, There will be Christian mythology Buddist mythology etc...I think as we use science to become more aware of our surrounding in this wolrd, we will no longer have any use for gods. I think people will look back and snicker at the fact that so many believed in a higher power for so long. Does anyone else agree?

if you believe in Satan, you have to believe in God. Why would some people choose to worship someone who is evil and grotesque instead of someone that is loving and kind?

Here's a question I've wondered about for some time, and haven't really found a satisfactory answer to: What exactly is the difference between "ethics" and "morals"? As in " this politician demonstrates good ethical and moral principles in his decision-making" It seems to me that these two terms are often used in conjunction with each other, but no one seems to make a distinction between them. Is it possible to be immoral but still act ethically? How 'bout the other way around?
