That is, IF it upsets you. To me, the thought of Hell is ridiculous, so it's hard for me to understand people being upset when I point out how ridiculous it is. Explain to me your feelings when someone fails to take Hell seriously. How much does it bother you? Can you see the other side of the issue - how some people don't think Hell is real or something to be concerned with? Can you relate to that in any way?

is right and yours is wrong? Could it be possible that maybe Islam is correct in asserting that your bible is corrupted? Could the Egyptians, who have built things that have stood longer than your religion has been around, could have had it right from the beginning? Is it possible that the book you hold so sacred really is just another book?

I know you think it's the word of god because people tell you it's the word of god and it says so in the book itself, but so does the Koran, and so does the Hebrew Bible. If yours really was and the others were not, then wouldn't it be evident to all? Wouldn't you have some real world evidence proving it was true and the others were false?

Wouldn't you have more than just "faith" to back it up?

Oh, almost forgot, I really want you to think about this, think hard. Do you know where your bible came from? Do you know who put it together, and what their religion was? Are you aware that the bible is only supplemental, not all encompassing?

Does this verse teach that if a Christian commits one sin that he traded Heaven for that sin and crossed the deadline ? How is this compatible with James 5:15 and 1 John 2:1 ? Why is the Hebrews passage in the Bible ?

It was recently discovered that Homo habilis and Homo erectus may have lived side by side and one point in time, questioning whether Homo erectus actually descended from habilis.

Now, Creationists seem to have jumped on this, claiming it completely refutes evolution theory, or at least the descent of man from primates. Anyone who knows what they're talking about here will know that the new evidence does nothing of the sort and doesn't even relate to evolution (in general), but only the ancestory of man, which was never ever said to be 100% accurate in the first place.

So why are creationists using this like it's some kind of life-saver for creationism, proving once-and-for-all that man didn't evolve from "monkeys"? Are they just ignorant to what the discovery was actually about?

Al Bedrosian, former political candidate for the Virginia General Assembly seems to think so.

excerpts from his rantings . . .

As a Christian, I think it's time to rid ourselves of this notion of freedom of religion in America. .

Now that I have your attention, let me take a moment to make my case. Freedom of religion has become the biggest hoax placed upon the Christian people and on our Christian nation.

When reading the writings of our Founding Founders, there was never any reference to freedom of religion referring to a choice between Islam, Hindu, Satanism, Wicca and whatever other religions or cults you would like to dream up. It was very clear that freedom to worship meant the freedom to worship the God of the Bible in the way you wanted, and not to have a government church denomination dictate how you would worship. . . .

He admits that most Christians would disagree w/him. Do you agree or disagree ?

The phrase "the patience of Job" could not be further from the mark. Job is , for all but 3 of the 42 chapters, exasperated by his comforters, reduced to abject misery by his afflictions, and disillusioned and furious with God. "The defiance of Job" would have been a far more apposite figure of speech to have passed into the language. Most people don't have god talking to them either, unless you went crazy which it seems Job had by the end of the story.

The book of job is just a story, but its lessons are easily misread. If God is omnipotent, we cannot blame anything on the Devil, and if God is no help, we have to do his work for Him. We construe his absence either as non-existence , hubris, apathy or an admission of guilt. We miss Him, we would dearly like to see Him going to and fro in the Earth and walking up and down in it , but we can admire tyranny no longer , and we desire justice more than we are awed by vainglorious assertions of magnificence.

To be a spirit person that we don't really understand what that means to be.
Or wouldn't you rather think that you are going to live forever on a paradise earth and have all the things you have now without the bad stuff, like war, sickness, old age, and death?

I was watching the science channel the other day and a lady was hurt by falling off a ladder. She needed emergency surgery to repair massive internal bleeding. She lost a lot of blood, so she needed a transfusion, but due to her husbands religious beliefs, they were Johavahs Witness, he didnt believe in the blood transfusion, and would not allow it. The doctors tried to convince the husband to go thru with it, that it was a routein surgery, and she would recover within weeks. He still decided against and she died that night. Would you stick to your beliefs and let your mate die?

That is the big question of the day. Some say that
the HAARP, a top secret government experiment,
has caused the country and other parts of the
world, to go in disarray. And has allowed things
to happen that alter human behavior, along
with psychological turmoil, and mass hysteria.
These things include chemical weather warfare,
and has also affected the animal population.
Global warming, which as we all saw how hot it
was last week, after some got tons of rain.
Is this a sign of more things to come ? Yes.
But since 9/11, it has been this way. And under
dictator leadership... So if the DEMOCRATS,
win the 2008 election, will Amercia get back
her sovereignty ? Best answer wins.

I overheard a conversation between my niece and another little girl that left me befuddled!

My niece was in the pool and this little girl came up to her and asked her to play. Their conversation follows:

*Hi, I'm Julia. I'm six...do you wanna play with me?*

*Sure, I'm six too* Kayla said..*I'm Kayla*

Julia - *Ohhhh I love this song. Whats your favorite song? (*Girlfriend* by Avril Lavigne was on the radio over the P.A.)

Kayla - *Gods song......are you a Christian?*

Julia - *No, we're atheists*

Kayla - *Whats that mean? I can teach you about God*

Julia - *No thanks. My mom and dad don't believe in God*

Kayla - *Huh?*

Julia - *They believe in free thinking and not in organized religion*

(Needless to say, this is where I became totally befuddled!)

Kayla - *I can't play with you anymore. My dad told me that anyone that isn't a Christian and don't believe in God, isn't good enough for me*

Befuddled, I tell ya!

What has my brother done to my niece?
