It upsets me when people DO take 'hell' seriously and especially when they threaten others with it.
I am supposed to treat others they way I want them to treat me, and that really includes the reverse too of not treating others in a way that I would not like to be treated. I would not want someone threatening me with coming back as a bug if I don't beleive what they believe. just as an example.
and as for 'hell', there are many many Christians here who do not know about the original idea of 'hell' or how it was changed, and a few non-Christians here who DO know.
There is no place of eternal punishment. there is only being dead and lost to memory.

"Why the hell is everyone so pissed off at Obama for? I mean really! Look at the facts" K.. "He entered office with the country TRILLIONS of dollars in debt, a war, sh**ty economy, and a pissed off country." And he quadrupled the deficit, promised we would see immediate results from the stimulus.. all the while GDP is going down, unemployment rate is going up, and he's implementing left wing policies.. The same policies that bankrupted MI., California, the USSR, Cuba, Venezuela, etc. I see a pattern of fail in our future. "He has been in office for 7 MONTHS." And he spent more then Bush did in 8 years! "I'll admit, I'm not 100% thrilled with him either, but seriously people, give the guy a break." No.. heck no. The man is ramming left wing policies that completely violate the premises that have made this country great. He pressures people so hard CONGRESS DOESN'T EVEN READ THE BILLS THEY PASS!!!! That's there job.. to represent the citizens of the U.S. and read the Bills that they pass. This is what tyrants have done through out history.. blitzkrieg there ideology on the people faster then people can think about it.. Before you know it... It's 1984. The man is a disaster. We, the people, are not being represented.. we are being told! Last time this happned here we had a revolutionary war. No I won't give him a break.. He needs to be stopped before he destroys our country.

I think it's ridiculous too. Hell is a state of mind that induces fear. It does not exist. Hell was created to control the masses of peoples and it has worked tremendously. However, I don't think it has worked for inducing a pure faith.
Fear is the root of all evil in my opinion. How can people have pure thoughts about God and also believe that he is cruel? It just doesn't add up. That's not what God is all about. God is Love. He loves all of us as a Father loves his child.

I can see the other side of why people don't. I can't prove hell is real other than using the word of God. Yes it does bother me that people are in hell and will be going to hell. Hell was not even created for people. It was created for satan and his angels.

I am not at all bothered. Hell does not compute with a loving God, and long did I know in my heart, Hell is a false notion based on the fear of God. Cessation of existence by becoming identified with things false and unreal is another matter, and extremely serious. Only loyal, rugged, moral, sincere, serious, truth lovers - who follow God, will avoid cessation and go on to the long journey into eternal life. This does not mean you have to follow a purported "Holy book" but GOD. These must have faith.

I believe that hell exists as stated in
Rev 21:8 But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, their part shall be in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone; which is the second death.
It upsets me to know that people reject Jesus when there is so much evidence of His love.
Some people say that it is cruel of God to send people to such a place. The sad part is, people choose to reject God and thus choose to go there themselves. Is it a cruel God that defines gravity and causes such a cruel and painful demise when people cast themselves from buildings by there own choosing? I think not. What amazes me is that God provided an easy way to avoid hell's punishment. All you have to do is repent of your sins and make Him Lord of your life. A cruel God, no no, a loving God, in that we don't deserve love from a holy perfect God but he gives it to us any way, through His Son Jesus.
And now let the thumbs down deluge begin, but
Mat 5:10 Blessed are they that have been persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven

Q: How much does it upset you when people do not take Hell seriously?
A: If hell exists, it's serious business and must be taken seriously as the only escape route from heaven. It would upset me to think no bolt hole was left open if I was damned to heaven.

Hell is just a scare tactic to make people behave. Eternal damnation for those who sin. It sounds nice, but the world is not that black and white. I believe that people should do the right things, not becuase they will burn in hell when they die, but do them because they want to. Good people will be good because it is in their nature, not because some religion scares them into being good. The afterlife is a time of rest, not a punishment or reward for anything that is done in life.

My take is that if you are upset that itself is hell. Beyond the illusions and fantasies are the states of mind here in reality. Heaven and Hell can both be an experience here.

Why should what other people think or believe be a matter of concern for me personally?
I try to do my duty and teach Bible truth to my neighbor, but a hell where the dead are tormented is not part of the Bible's teaching. However, if some want to go ahead and believe despite what the Bible teaches, that is their business.
