I would say the Catholic Church most closely follows Christ, since He started the Catholic Church Himself.

"Of Christendom" you asked....
Not A Single One Of Them!!!!
The Pope is the head of Christendom,
& he surely isn't a true Christian.
That's why it's called Christendom;
they claim they are Christian;
and Yet Not A One,
Does What Jesus said To Do.
"Preach the Kingdom of the Heavens"
Only J's W's Do This.
And they are No Part of Christendom.
Based on my own exp's in life & alot of research & studying.
ALOT!

Quaver,
The Church of CHRIST began about 33AD at Pentecost. It follows only the teachings of the BIBLE and use the New Testament writings to find what is correct in worship and living. It does NOT user any man-made creeds and is Non-Denominational because Denominations pool their monies and use it in a way that the original churches did not. Have a wonderful week.
Thanks,

All of the saved people on Pentecost Day were members of the church of Christ. Obviously, there is no difference between those who live today and the people of Acts chapter two. When people today, as they, gladly receive His word (when they believe and submit totally to it), repent, confess, and are immersed in water for the remission of sins, they too are added by God to that same church; the one church, the Church of Christ (Romans 16:16). Since Christ built only one church (the church of the Bible), it can only be concluded that all other religious organizations (including the Catholic and Protestant Churches) were built by man (Matthew 15:8-14). In these, there is no promise of salvation; no promise of hope; no promise of the blessings of Christ (Ephesians 1:3). These promises are to be found only in His church; the church of Christ.
The direction of the Spirit comes only through the word of God, which tells us how a person enters that one church. On the day of Pentecost (Acts 2), those who "gladly received his word were baptized; and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls" (vs.41). "And the Lord added daily to the church (His church) such as were being saved (vs.47). These believing people repented, and were immersed for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38), after which they were added to the church that Christ had built. (They were not added to the Catholic Church, which was established 600 years later, nor were they added to denominationalism, which had its several beginnings in the fifteenth century)

The Church Christ Himself founded is the only Church that even comes close to following His teaching. The Catholic Church. It should be obnvious that denominational churches don't follow the teaching of Christ, since they don't follow the teaching of one another. True teaching cannot conflict with true teaching.

The catholics are totally out of the question. They are full of false doctrines. For example, they call a priest father, when Jesus clearly said you should not call anyone father except your father here on earth and your father up in heaven.
Also you don't need a priest to intercede on your behalf. We have freedom to enetr the presence of God freely and ask for forginess for our own sins. Don't ask a saint to pray for you, pray yourself. The bible says that Christ is the only mediator between God the father and us.
I am a Pentecostal. But the truth is that Christ is not coming for any religion. God is looking for those who have accepted him as their lord and savior. Christ doesn't follow religion or does he care for it.

Every denomination has pew warmers, which are people that do nothing but go to church, and don't actually practice what Jesus taught in the bible.
Read Matthew 7:2-23

Denominations are man made. Jesus said come to me, he did not say come to me (add denomination here). Some denominations were created only to control the populace.
Do your own research.
Seek and ye shall find.

From my experience... non - denominational churches, while a little more flamboyent in their praises, do seem to be more Christ-centered, with less pomp and circumstance and ritual then a lot of the main stream religions (Catholic, Lutheran, etc). Mind you there is nothing wrong with the main stream churches, it just doesn't fit "everyone"
IMHO
