I overheard a conversation between my niece and another little girl that left me befuddled!

My niece was in the pool and this little girl came up to her and asked her to play. Their conversation follows:

*Hi, I'm Julia. I'm six...do you wanna play with me?*

*Sure, I'm six too* Kayla said..*I'm Kayla*

Julia - *Ohhhh I love this song. Whats your favorite song? (*Girlfriend* by Avril Lavigne was on the radio over the P.A.)

Kayla - *Gods song......are you a Christian?*

Julia - *No, we're atheists*

Kayla - *Whats that mean? I can teach you about God*

Julia - *No thanks. My mom and dad don't believe in God*

Kayla - *Huh?*

Julia - *They believe in free thinking and not in organized religion*

(Needless to say, this is where I became totally befuddled!)

Kayla - *I can't play with you anymore. My dad told me that anyone that isn't a Christian and don't believe in God, isn't good enough for me*

Befuddled, I tell ya!

What has my brother done to my niece?

Kids DO talk like this. This was nothing compared to what her 10 year old brother can spew, at any given moment. But ask either of them what they mean...and they can't explain it!

Some people that are answering, are as naive as my brother - who believes what he says is TRUTH. There is NO talking to him about religion.
He too, honestly believes that because hes taught his kids about *Christianity* they will NEVER lie to him.
Naive naive naive....

I love how people keep saying *six year olds don't talk like this* My niece has been raised in the Church. They go to church four times a week, Christian pre-school, private Christian schools for both my niece and nephew. I have sat in *Sanctuary* with my niece and watched these 4 and 5 year olds learn to repeat repeat repeat....its DISGUSTING!
Thanks to those that DO get it!

this is where religion gets stupid
i can't help but laugh, allthough it's sad in fact.... didn't Kayla's parents taught her to be good to others, since they are such good christians?
some people think they are not sinners and that their religion makes them better than others. but in fact, it's the other way around

Jett City,
Your brother needs to be taught a little about CHRIST. His children have been misled too long and they will be the losers in this whole thing. GOD never expected HIS CHILDREN to act this way toward others. I am a Christian and I want to lead others to CHRIST. That is Not Possible if we treat Non-Christians in this manner! Matthew 28 is probably the last words of CHRIST to his disciples. These words should be important to every Christian! Sit him down and explain to him how important those words should be to each and every Christian. Have a wonderful week.
Thank you,
Eds

A true Christian would never run from an atheist. We are called on to love all people. Jesus made a point of spending time with sinners, and non-believers. That is the example we are to follow. Remember, not all Christians are the same, nor are they free from sin.

#1- No 6 year old talks like that.
#2- Do you know how many other religions and races do the same thing?
Especially Jewish and Armenian. It isn't that I didn't want to associate with them, their parents said they couldn't play with me,when I was a kid, and if they did it was on the" down low".
I'm sure there are some Christian parents like that ,but not many. They go by the passage "Be ye not unequally yoke with an unbeliever".Which has 0 to do with kids.

I will try to explain:
Consider the text:
"This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." (Joshua 1:8).

Please observe that is written "to do according to all that is written". So a Christian should do just that, right? OK, but now in 2 Corinthians 6:14 it says: "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?". So... what your brother teaches your nice is in full accordance with Christian teaching.
However, your nice might not understood entirely what your bro wanted to say. But you are an adult and should be able to understand, if not, just ask your brother about this teaching.

it could look that if God created all issues then evil could were created via God. although, there is an assumption suitable here that needs to be cleared up. Evil isn't a "element" like a rock or electric powered ability. you at the instant are not waiting to have a jar of evil! regardless of the undeniable fact that, evil is despite that occurs, like working. Evil has no lifestyles of its very own; it somewhat is an absence in a purely suitable component. For representation, holes are genuine regardless of the undeniable fact that they only exist in the rest. We call the absence of dirt a area of interest, regardless of the undeniable fact that it won't be able to be separated from the dirt. So whilst God created, it is real that each and all and sundry which existed became as quickly as purely suitable. between the main astounding issues that God made became as quickly as creatures who had the liberty to % upon purely suitable. with the intention to have an easily decision, God had to allow there to be despite aside from purely suitable to % on. So God allowed those loose angels and human beings to desire purely suitable or non-purely suitable (evil). whilst a foul courting exists between 2 purely suitable concerns we call that evil, regardless of the undeniable fact that it does no longer grow to be a "element" that required God to create it. wish this facilitates. It’s called avoiding negative influences.

Jon M & others calls it brainwashing and indeed it is. Brainwashing by the atheist parents indoctrinating their children into the humanist, feel good cult of man.

… if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

*GUSH*
This reminds me of one of my proudest moments as an Aunt. I was playing in my dad's front yard, making little "fairy houses" with the pine needles with my two neices. A little boy from the neighborhood wanders over to see what we were up to. He and my oldest neice were about the same age and started having the usual kids conversations. Turns out he goes to the local Christian acadamy. I groan inwardly, but say nothing. Eventually, the kid has a problem with our "fairy houses". Apparently, he doesn't believe in fairies, just God (stop myself from giggling). My neice and he get into an argument, wherein he so-called trumps her by declairing "God is KING!" and my little 8-year-old neice counters back with "Well, Nature is QUEEN!"
How precocious is that?! *end GUSH*

I think someone needs to tell your brother about the conversation.I bet if he is a true Christian that he would see what has happened. But the fact is that it was "both" sets of parents that has brainwashed their children. This is a sad world .

It seems your brother is a little messed up in his thinking. He's missing many opportunities to spread the word. Sad
