You are walking home from church Sunday morning, and accidentally drop your Bible, unnoticing. When you return later in search of the Bible, you view a homeless figure wandering in the oppositte direction, clutching a large book that is obviously yours. Do you:
a) Allow them to keep it, and say nothing.
b) Allow them to keep it, but inform them that it was yours.
c) Ask for them to return it, or
c) Have it legally returned to you; by means of police or similar action?

I'm going to post an answer her that was given in response to a question just a short while ago... The question was asked a tad on the tongue-in-cheek side (I believe... LOL) but at least one of the answers, (the one I'll post her,) gave what I would surmise was a serious and sincere response...

Here it is:

"You need to understand, everything God does is good. So when he decides to torture and/or kill, he's doing good. Those he tortures and kills should feel blessed by the eternal love of The Father."

Don't believe me...? See for yourself: (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?...

Since christianity has begun, there has been a mass exodus of killings from east to west - seen from the crusades to the slayings of the red indians to the aboriginal chaos to indian occupation to bosnia to AFRICA. There has been no continent on this planet which has not felt the impact of christianity. And yet i get christians coming to my home to preach to me that it is a peaceful religion. So i ask you now; what do you think? does the bloody history show you its peaceful or vicious?

How many people here are afraid of what is going to happen to them after they die? Do you really believe in a place called Hell with fire and demons or is there no punishment or reward in the hereafter and we are all just animals with no soul?

When John 1:1-4 says :
the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
He was in the beginning with God.
All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be
through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race;

Wouldnt that mean that "God" is still creating? Thus working far more than the 6 days noted in the Bible. He still hasnt got it just right yet has he? Less perfect than we thought huh? If he exists that is.

I understand there is the Roman Catholic Church, and the Eastern Orthodox Church. Are there other denominations within Catholicism that claim to have God's authority traced back to Peter? Do the different Catholic denominations view each other as apostates, or do they consider the authority of other Catholic churches to be just as valid as the authority of their own church?

Jesus says the end of the world will include people coming, saying they are Jesus, but it will not be true. This has not happened, so the end is not near, right? And what about spreading the Word to all nations? That has not happened either.

Hate is everywhere. Human beings generalize all the time, ahead of time, about everyone and everything. A large part of it may even be hard-wired. At some point in our evolution, being able to know beforehand who was friend or foe was not merely a matter of philosophical reflection. It was a matter of survival. And even today it seems impossible to feel a loyalty without also feeling a disloyalty, a sense of belonging without an equal sense of unbelonging. We're social beings. We associate. Therefore we disassociate. And although it would be comforting to think that the one could happen without the other, we know in reality that it doesn't.

If Jesus died for your sins then how can you still burn in Hell? That means that before Jesus all people went to Hell. If thats not true than Jesus didn't die for our sins at all. Maybe it was instead a lesson of forgivness that has been taken out of context by the christian's to make a place called Hell to instill fear.
