How many people here are afraid of what is going to happen to them after they die? Do you really believe in a place called Hell with fire and demons or is there no punishment or reward in the hereafter and we are all just animals with no soul?

Yes...there is a hell.
But no, I do not fear death.
For me...to die is gain!
For...there is a heaven...
And by God's grace through faith in Jesus Christ, it is my portion!
Praise His holy, gracious name!

I am a Christian, however, I admit that death frightens me. The unknown. The loss of control over oneself. Not being able to turn it around. The end.

I choose to believe there is a heaven and that is where I will go. I am still afraid of death though. I think there are more christians than you would realize who feel the same way but just don't have the guts to be honest.

I do not believe in hell or demons. I do not believe in punishment or reward in any hereafter. Yet I do not fear death.

The***PRAYNOGRAPHER***will rotate, as we all will. Just as the sperm rotates to become one with the egg. Then the fetus rotates to become an embryo that rotates into a human being. That human will rotate into what ever Mother nature has in store for us. Just as we can not remember all those other steps in our existences. We will not remember ever being alive as humans. We will be as something else. Your guess is as good as mine. As sure as death is not as painful as we are led to believe. There is no heaven, or hell waiting for us, but something that could be even greater then the life we have known. After all it must of been wonderful to be a sperm.

I'm not sure that it makes much sense to fear the inevitable. Maybe I shall become more apprehensive when I am 80 years old, in a hospital bed, with a heart monitor hooked up, and surrounded by very worried offspring.
