"To suppose that the eye, with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest possible degree."

................ yet always fail to quote what came next..............

"Yet reason tells me, that if numerous gradations from a perfect and complex eye to one very imperfect and simple, each grade being useful to its possessor, can be shown to exist; if further, the eye does vary ever so slightly, and the variations be inherited, which is certainly the case; and if any variation or modification in the organ be ever useful to an animal under changing conditions of life, then the difficulty of believing that a perfect and complex eye could be formed by natural selection, though insuperable by our imagination, can hardly be considered real. "

I see some of the worst spelling and grammar from Christians. Pray for some better grammar skills from the one you call "Lord".

...then why don't they take a weekend, go to the Veterans Hospitals, and heal those US Soldiers returning from the war? Why don't they replace lost arms, lost legs? Why don't they heal those who have lost their vision or hearing?

How come there hasn't been ONE DOCUMENTED CASE of any of these "healers" actually healing someone with a documented serious injury from among the ranks of our returning soldiers?

Is it because, in fact, they are all frauds?

Here is a link that I would like everyone on this board to read. Don't pre-judge and complain, just read. Then come back and tell me if you find what you've read to be beneficial or an annoyance?

Here is a parallel example. The Bible. The Bible doesn't necessarily have "rules", but it contains guidelines, principles, ideals, etc.

I am asking this question to observe how different people's minds work and how they observe and recognize logic.

We are either attracted to or repelled by various events, things, people, etc. There is a physical 'tug-of-war' going on internally (thoughts) or physically...health, relationships, etc.

We wrangle with life...struggle against or for something, constantly! It is the way of life...thus, there is much suffering.

Some say, we have no choice...we are "being lived" divine puppets. Then there are those who say that there is a tiny seed (the main ingredient) that can grow into a vast reality... and that is...*awareness*.

We always have a choice to 'not attend to thought'... to not follow it. We have a choice to not react, blindly, to life events, we have a choice to forgive...many choices, but only through bringing awareness to our thought/actions.

Heightened awareness is possible. It may take a little more effort, but gets easier. If "Godliness" is to be experienced, if peace, joy, freedom is to be experienced, a new awareness must be present.

I'm wondering, is there a difference in the meaning of Muslim vs. Islam? I know they are used differently in sentence structure.

Is it just like the difference between Judaism and Jewish, or is there a real difference in meaning?

Pangelism, of course. She's gaining quite a following. I admire her so much but nasty trolls like Rosie are giving us Pangelists a bad name.

argue on here and answer questions that are clearly just to stir up strife?

In 2 Timothy 2:23~26

Avoid foolish and ignorant disputes, knowing that they generate strife. And a servant of the Lord must not quarrel but be gentle to all, able to teach, patient, in humility correcting those who are in opposition if God perhaps will grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth and that they may come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by him to do his will.

If we quit answering those type of questions, then maybe there will be more real questions in need of real answers. Just a thought, what do u think?
