The Church is not a building, or even an organization of people. Its made up of believers. Anywhere the faithful are, there is the Church.

Lots of organizations claim to be the one true Church.

Can any such claim have any credibility?

This is a continuation of my previous question on morality and ethics. This question is not an attack on anyone so I would appreciate it if personal attacks could be left out of posts.
My question is: If we do something because it's right: What makes it right? And if something is right can it be universally right? I'm looking for absolute rights especially and where they come from without reference to God.

Thanks

I know, I know. Love and cookies for everyone and don't be a meanie and all that stuff.

But seriously, do you ever squirm at the thought of how much damage is done to our rights in the name of God?

Using logic with these people never amounts to anything. It's like trying to put a sweater and shoes on a squirrel. Pretty much impossible.

I'm sure many Christians are wonderful, and would tug at my heartstrings given the chance. It's still a damaging cult.

Seeing as praying for the sick has been clinically proven to have a negative effect on the health of the individual, I'd prefer that you keep your unhealthy prayers away from her.

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/health/2002901053_pray31.html

"There was virtually no difference in complication rates between patients in the first two groups. But the third group, in which patients knew they were receiving prayers, had a complication rate of 59 percent, significantly more than the 52 percent in the no-prayer group."

Or they at least have a comprehension problem I mean it seriously IRKS me that they still claim the existence of god (and worse the "son of god" aka jesus) is supported by scriputre.

The gospels were all written long after the death of jesus and also after the epistles f paul which mention almost nothing of the facts of jesus life. All were then copied and recopied by falliable scrives who in any case had their own agendas. When the gospels were written man years after jesus death, nobody knew where he was born. Just an OT prophecy that had led jews to expect that the messiah would be born in bethlehem. John's gospel remarks that his followers were surprised that he was NOT born in bethlehem: some said "this is the christ and others said shall he cometh out of gailee.? hath not the scripture said that christ come out of the seed of david and out of the town of bethlehem where david was?"

Matthew and luke handle the problem differently, by deciding that jesus MUST have been born..

Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

There was a First Day, God had created light and divided the light from the darkness.
However, there was no Sun to call evening and morning, as God has not created Sun and Moon ( Till Gen 1:16 4th Day).

And same go to 2nd and 3rd day, there was no Sun, however there were evenings and mornings.

There must be something that made evening and morning , apart from Sun.

What would that be ?

I feel close to God when I am camping in the mountains.

This question is for real and if you don't have a valid answer then please respect other people's faith and don't post rude, obscene, hateful answers.

If you do post, you will just be exposing yourself to everyone for what you really are - an insecure, ignorant troll.
