I have the one we bought my mom in 1969. It has 2 dials to set the time, and a defrost switch. It works well, and I use it most everyday.

Mine uses a dial to set the minutes. It ticks like a timer, then DINGS like a timer. It has two settings; defrost and cook. It was inexpensive, and I got it about 7 years ago.
