all Christian believe there is a God but never emulate the Christ they worship.
all Atheists believe there is no God but with no creator, never felt lost nor orphaned.
each christian denominations like to believe they have their God to save them, some think Faith alone can do that,
some more on charity, some on penitence, some on chastity, but none understand one another.
each Atheists believe they only have one life to live,
so they give the best they can do at a short period of time.
each lives a different Life of their choice. some may have the ego to think we humans are suppose to be Gods, some think nature can be changed, but all of them takes their chance for there is nothing else to believe in after life.
the truth is there is more similarity among Christians & Atheists than of their own kind.
both sad, both governed by tragic philosophies.
a God that might never exist. a Life of imaginary meaning. For the Christians side.
an absence of God & spiritual evolution. a Life of material meaning. For the Atheists.
after all, Christians & Atheists are all but Human Beings.
With or without God, forever lost & will be forgotten in the history of the Universe.

All People aren't the same, how could Christians or Atheists be the same? If someone seems the same, they have probably been fed a low protein diet and been forced into a steady routine of sleep deprivation and brainwashing. Since neither Christianity or Atheism are cults, that isn't likely to happen (except in a few very extreme cases) If all Christians were the same, we wouldn't have over a thousand different denominations! If all Atheists were the same, we wouldn't have Agnostics. We all make our own deal with our spiritual mentor (or absence of one) and we either keep our deal or we don't, and accept the consequences accordingly. This is like saying "Are All Philosophers the same?" Anyone who knows the name Socrates and Plato knows better. Steven Wright could be called a philosopher, (and humorist) but he is certainly different than either of the Greek ponderers!
All Christians are Homo-Sapians, (Sorry, my spell checker doesn't know how to spell that) and all Atheists are Homo- Sapians! As a matter of fact, we are all Homo-Sapians (Despite the fact that certain rednecks will punch you in the face for calling them anything with the word homo in it!) and beyond that, all bets are off.

Philippians 2:1-7 Christians are to be like minded. yes they are the same!
atheists are unsure and think differently and react differently. Remember what they say on Yahoo answers, some read the word and some were saved and as soon as a little trouble comes off they go in a panic.

Please, enki--let's not stereotype. This isn't like you! NO. They are not the "same" but there seem to be far more disagreements between Christians. [God is love]: Try not to make speculations; I've NEVER known an Atheist who has converted to Christianity, but conversely? WHO are the blind?
[minme]: Share & share alike is a moral standard, & not exclusive to Christians. [consaul] & [shahbarak] were great, & I LOVED [bratiskim's] sense of humour. Much needed in R&S. enki, have you ever known an Atheist? What about agnostics???

It seems Christians come in umpteen varieties, often with large differences within each one as well as between. Athiests are more consistent. If there are small differences they don't fight about them, although they might find discussion interesting. Of course, some are girls and some are boys but as there's no priesthood or power to fight for, this only promotes interesting harmonies, I've found.

No, not even close...
I have met many Christians that I don't understand at all...and many atheists I really like...
and vice versa...
that is personality... Christians are all equal under Christ...but equal isn't really the same thing...

No. I am VERY different than most Christians you'll meet in the United States. Just because I believe in many the smae things does nopt mean EVERYTHING I believe is the same nor my way of intrepreting everything is.

Unless they're all mental and physical clones of each other then of course no, Enki.
Some say they are christians but not one bit in their hearts. Some say they are atheists yet full of religious compassion and love. Karl Marx was an athiest yet his philosophy so intimately "religious" in that the idea of "share and share alike" is religious. (or christian or hindu , buddisht, whateva)

No, I believe that everyone has their own particular way of worshiping Him (or not worshiping).
The person who doesnt quite make it to church every sunday could be more devoted and deeply religious than the kid who goes weekly.
Knowing that God is your strong point and doing what ever it is that you do to praise and worship Him is all that matters to Him.
God's love is undconditional.
