Genesis 1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

There was a First Day, God had created light and divided the light from the darkness.
However, there was no Sun to call evening and morning, as God has not created Sun and Moon ( Till Gen 1:16 4th Day).

And same go to 2nd and 3rd day, there was no Sun, however there were evenings and mornings.

There must be something that made evening and morning , apart from Sun.

What would that be ?

I did think that option as well, I was thinking God's first creation light mean other Sun that could gave light to the earth. So far , all other suns's light are too weak to called evening and morning. Any other thing in your mind.

Suns are stars that are burning. Maybe god made all the OTHER stars first, and ours LAST.
They would be a source of light BEFORE our sun was created.
It does raise a question. did God create ALL the stars instantaneously, or one by one.
after all, he created man long after he created the animals of this earth.
they were not at the same time.
And is it important that we know....not really

No offence young man.........you missed it, read the verses before Genesis 1:5. Genesis 1:2-4 : " And the earth was without form, and void;and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Sprit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness".................LATER

God is light. It was his light that divided the evening and the morning.

The light came from God. As for the evening part....I guess the earth was already in motion? Guess I gotta look into that part a little more. lol.

It would be the light before the sun comes up. LIGHT.

That would be smoke and mirrors. Eructating an irrational statement and then demanding it has deep meaning (e.g, Zen - what is the sound of one hand calpping?) is Emperor's clothing.

The Emperor is naked.

Turn on a sound recorder, clap one hand, play it back. That is the sound of one hand clapping; wmv, midi, mpg... pick your format.

well considering genesis is a load of crap...maybe you should pick up some more modern books....they will explain to you how eveything in the universe works and why.
