A lot of people on here who hate muslims as an entire group on here refuse to look at facts. Look at this news link from Yahoo. You like to say that muslims are not standing up to the insurgents. So what do you make of the fact that the people are being targeted for refusing to let them have their way? 350 citizen were sickened from chemical blasts due to standing up to these animals. Why do you keep saying we are not doing anything, when all the while all of us are being punished for doing the very thing you complain about? We are standing up against them, both there and even on this very board, yet you look the other way and pretend you don't see it, then ask the very same question.

When are you going to realize that it's impossible for us to get ev ery single one? Have you caught every murderer, robber, and baby killer in the US? No, because every time I walk into Wal Mart or any store where they have these pictures of missing children, I can see that kidnappers are still

Quran refers to the ruler of Egypt at the time of Joseph (pbuh) as "the King",because the title "Pharaoh" wasn't yet used,while it refers to the ruler at the time of Moses (pbuh) as the "Pharaoh"
-see the accuracy of the Quran,how the heck Muhammad (pbuh) the illiterate man would know this.

I have a REALLLY personal question but it's been a heavy weight on my shoulders for so long; I need to get this out and get some feedback from people I don't personally know... okay.... I am a Christian, I have a great realationship with God.
But ever since I was little.. I've had a problem with mastrbation. I was starting to think that it really wasn't a sin. But throughout the years, it's not so much the act of doing it but the thoughts going through my head as I'm doing it. I think of violent things that just ARENT me... I think of rape; I think of incest, I think of bisexual things (although I'm not bisexual) Just all of that stuff... I don't know why. I do this every day though, and it's to the point that I know it's an addiction. What am I to do?!? I ask for forgiveness, I'm strong in my faith but this is horrible and I keep doing it over again. Am i going to hell?

I remember as a child, I used to read stories of Sindbad and Aladdin, stories from the Arabian nights and other so-called 'Islamic' stories such as those brave Arabian warriors who fought 'evil' without fear and instilling pride and respect (and sometimes kindness) to the people.

However, every child born into this world today seeing many terrorists and so-called Muslims in acts of terror, instilling fear and hatred towards society. They do this in the name of religion, in the name of 'fighting evil' and so on.

Its sad, as these so-called 'Mujahideens' are not as those interpreted by other 'true' Muslims (by the way, either way, they are 'true' Muslims too, aren't they?).

I would like to ask a question related to the most recent and sad incident where 8 people were shot point blank and the driver, who recited 'Allahuakhbar' and other verses of the Quran during the attack was spared of his life (eventhough he was also attacked earlier).

I read that the "snakes" St. Patrick drove from Ireland are a metaphor for the Pagans he drove away or converted. I don't think I want to celebrate someone forcing religion on peaceful druidic peoples.

I've heard it claimed it's because Jesus did away with the OT, but don't you realize that nothing has changed? Jesus himself said:

"Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have come not to abolish but to fulfill." (Matthew 5:17 NAB)

And let's not forget:

"It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." (Luke 16:17 NAB)

So basically, the OT stands forever until the end of Heaven and Earth.
And yet, I would get frowned on for selling my daughter to slavery (Exodus 21:7) or buying slaves (Lev. 25:44).
I know many Christians who work on the Sabbath but are not put to death (Exodus 35:2) and eat shellfish, which is an abomination (Lev. 11:10).
Almost all Christians I know trim the hair at their temples (Lev. 19:27) and wear mixed fabrics (Lev. 19:19), and yet gathering the town for a public stoning is not accepted by most Christians.

So what gives, guys? Is a stoning in order or what?

If I ever find faith, if God and heaven do exist....I would only hope to see family, my dogs, and horses....oh and maybe a neverending supply of Chinese food...

I'm no christian and realize there are many hipocrites that call them selves christians. I believe that christianity when done right is a very good force, Maybe 2% who call them selves christians truely are, but why do most you always want to prove them wrong why leave snide remarks on there questions. when you act that way aren't you acting just like the "christians" you hate. to me the ones that act like this are just like the bible thumpers on my door that knock after I tell the not interested do you get what I mean

I recently finished Sam Harris' book and absolutely loved it. So- I picked up 'the God Delusion" today. Somebody give me a brief comparison of the books. Did I waste my time- as they are basically the same thing? Or is Dawkins even more brilliant than Sam Harris?

Ok. like, abortioned babies get killed, right? But if they get killed, they have to go to hell because they can't go to heaven, but they can't go heaven because they never even knew god, but they couldn't know god because they were killed. So isn't god being unfair by sending abortioned babies to hell? or, if he doesn't, then what happens to them? cause they certianly can't enter heaven because heaven has to be sinless....but then again....abortioned babies probably are sinless because they never had a chance to commit sin....but we are all born into sin.... ahhhh i'm so confused. help me so that my faith won't be disrupited!

If you believe in god, how do you know he is not lying to you? Isn't it possible that he is conning you into worshipping him, and when you die you are tortured for his pleasure? We all know people can lie to us and we'll believe them. People are conned all the time. How do you know that god is not the greatest "con man" (or con god) of all time? Or, that the devil conquered god a long time ago, and is tricking us everyday.

In short, what is your proof that god is who he says he is, and acutally exists (and you can't use the bible as proof, as that can all be faked by god)?

Regardless your faith or lack thereof, don't you think these all too common questions like "Would God care if I slept with a zombie doll?" or "Is it a sin to say 'I hate Jesus' if you are talking about your Mexican enemy?" -esque questions are so lame? Really, they aren't funny, & are absolutely pointless.

So even though the people asking them think that they have such superior intelligence; isn't it ironic how immature such questions make them sound?

I had a dream sometime ago with my husbands great grandfather and great grandmother standing in a field of babies and there was one in particular that was at his feet. It was very beautiful and I think may have been a girl. Well my friend thinks that maybe it's his grandfather either coming back in the form of this child that my husband and I will have soon, or his grandfather is blessing us with this child. I just had a dream the other night about a black woman who handed me this rose which may be a blessing of a baby. I am hoping. We havent started trying yet, but want to very soon. Could this just be a wish I have or a prediction?

Why do Christians even want to open up that can of worms? Do you guys really want Buddhism, Islam, paganism, and true secular humanism taught to your children? Do you guys really want your children debating all these religions and debating the different sects within Christianity? You want the children to break up into separate prayer groups? I would say a lot more atheists would come out of a system like that, or did you think the schools were only going to teach what you wanted them to teach? In that case we would have an even bigger fight with protesters around the schools yelling out on microphones how the schools are discriminating against their religion.
