A lot of people on here who hate muslims as an entire group on here refuse to look at facts. Look at this news link from Yahoo. You like to say that muslims are not standing up to the insurgents. So what do you make of the fact that the people are being targeted for refusing to let them have their way? 350 citizen were sickened from chemical blasts due to standing up to these animals. Why do you keep saying we are not doing anything, when all the while all of us are being punished for doing the very thing you complain about? We are standing up against them, both there and even on this very board, yet you look the other way and pretend you don't see it, then ask the very same question.
When are you going to realize that it's impossible for us to get ev ery single one? Have you caught every murderer, robber, and baby killer in the US? No, because every time I walk into Wal Mart or any store where they have these pictures of missing children, I can see that kidnappers are still

I believe this has nothing to do neither with christianity nor to Americans.. Americans are good people with a bad government. Remember what the US Government used to say while Afghanistan was in a fight with Russia; US called them: "Al Mujahedeen" which is an Arabic word means the "rightous religious fighters" when Russia got defeated and US began to fight them they turned by a miracle to "The Afghani terrorists".
Suicide Bombers.. Who knows? May be not all of them are terrorists after all... America is usually not fair....
When you try to find a peaceful solution; while ur enemy don't and keeps stealing you land, Money, wife and daughters, he's stronger, he has weapons, then you blew him up by turning urself into a living bomb.
It's frustration...
When you watch an American movie to see the star at the end blew himself up to kill the bad japanese troops or to destroy nazists or even to kill a monster you clap the hell outta ur hands and go out saying: What a heroic action! but when someone does this defending his land and country; he's a terrorist...
Isn't that strange?

You make some valid observations.
To me the most vital thing Islam needs is some centralized authority speaking out against the acts of the radicals. Unfortunately, Islam is very non-hierarchical, so there is no central group of perceived leaders of the Islamic faith that speak with one voice and condemn the actions of the heretical.
Where is the public outcry from Islam's theologians over the acts of these radicals? It is missing in the media and the silence among the leadership and over 1B peaceable Muslims is deafening to the observers on the sidelines.
If Christian radicals were performing the acts that we see Islamic fundamentalists doing, there would be a world outcry among the leaders of Christian organizations condemning these persons as heretics. It would be in all the newspapers, television, etc.
Muslims are quick to point to the violence recorded in the Christian bible and claim that Christianity’s early history was violent, too. But unlike the Bible where some very awful HISTORY is recorded, the violence described in the Qur’an is part of Islamic THEOLOGY. This is a very significant distinction between the two belief systems.
The famous Muslim scholar and “father of modern history” Ibn Khaldun states the dichotomy between jihad and defensive warfare thus:
In the Muslim community, the holy war [i.e. jihad] is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the Muslim mission and the obligation to convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force... The other religious groups did not have a universal mission, and the holy war was not a religious duty for them, save only for purposes of defense... They are merely required to establish their religion among their own people. That is why the Israeilites after Moses and Joshua remained unconcerned with royal authority [e.g. a “caliphate”]. Their only concern was to establish their religion [not spread it to the nations]… But Islam is under obligation to gain power over other nations (The Muqudimmah, vol. 1 pg. 473).
I believe Islam is going through what the Christian faith went through during the Reformation. During the Reformation religious leaders were forced to carefully define their doctrines, that is, what do Christians really believe? This established a baseline of orthodoxy that then could be used as a litmus test for the practices of self-professed Christians.
Islamic leaders must do the same thing. They must reclaim the Islam that has been hijacked by radicals who have plunged Islamic countries into the Dark Ages. New leaders must codify their acceptable theologies, especially the violence now part of the Sharia, Muhammad’s Sunna (4:24, 4:92, 8:69, 24:33, 33:21, 33:50), and the “sword-verses” of the Qur’an (e.g., 9:5, 9:29). Then Muslim leaders should defend these theologies against heretics loudly and publicly.
I have found non-Christian religions, such as Islam, to be philosophically indefensible, being internally incoherent or undermining human reason and experience. To better understand Islam, I suggest you review the following sites:

I do not hate muslims, what I hate is the misuse of religious freedoms in order to benefit any religion. Basically they use the argument that we should be able to wear hijab wherever we want to, even if it means changing years of tradition (like police uniforms), when we get angry about it they call us racists. But turn it around and we say things like Merry Christmas at work, they find it offensive???????? If I went to work nude would they find that offensive if it was my religion. I think so and personally I would not do it because I would not WANT TO IMPOSE my beliefs on others. Seems like a double standard to me. They are just imposing thier religious beliefs on everyone and yes that makes me angry but I am not racist and I do not hate muslims and/or any other religion for that matter. I just hate that the western world is not making all religions accountable because they are too darn worried about POLITICAL correctness to say anything. Why is it for a hundred years millions of people of all different religions have gotten along in the western world together but now all of sudden we cant? What is up with that? Why everyone all of a sudden screaming our religion, our religion, its getting old now.........religion should be in home & church and no where else as to not impose on anyone else.period.

Can you tell me where these so-called 'Muslim terrorists' operate apart from these places?
1. Afghanistan
2. Iraq
3. Chechnya
4. Palestine
5. Kashmir
6. Bosnia
7. Algeria
8. Israel
In all of the above countries, either Muslims/Muslim countries/land has been attacked & illegally subjugated/occupied, or they have been falsely accused of terrorism whereas the fight is for liberation/independence or self-determination against the occupying forces, or democratically elected govt's have been pulled down sparking protest & unrest.
Countries like USA & UK, who are the main accused do not deserve to remain immune. They naturally witness terrorist violence sometime or the other. Countries like Australia, Spain, Saudi etc are merely suffering "Collateral damage" becos they are partnering USA & UK and providing logistical support in this 'crusade' against the Muslims.
Countries like Pakistan were used by the west in its fight against the Soviets & millions of dollars were spent by the west to train & motivate youth from across the Muslim world in its proxy war. Now the battle-hardened warriors there have nothing better to do than continue to fight, irrespective of the opponent or the reason & have infact brought that very expertise & motivation into full use against the new enemy of Islam.!!!!!.
Countries like Indonesia, Sudan etc are facing the affects of their friendly policies towards the west.
India faces terrorism because of Kashmir, its anti-minority stance & policies, the ferocious & anti-Muslim Hindu fundamentalists who indulge in terrorist activities like bomb-blasts etc & then blame it on Muslim religious parties & innocent Muslim youth who are then promptly arrested & the Muslim parties banned.
By name, less than 20 countries, maybe another 10 that I may have missed. In a world of over 200 countries, why are Muslims targeting just 20 odd & feeling happy about it? The entire Latin America, most parts of Africa, most parts of Asia, most of Europe never witness any Islamic terrorism. Why?
It is because Muslims have no choice. The war is being thrust upon them. They are made to fight to defend their homes, lives & honor. They are not going out to fight elsewhere. They are not 'exporting' Islamic Jihad as the media puts it. If American soldiers enter your home in your country & strip-search your women, humiliate your elders, arrest & degrade your brothers & sons & shoot them at the slightest opportunity then what are you supposed to do? Watch CNN or kill those b@st@rds??

100% agreed upon, Sis :D!
--SeeTheLight, how can you expect us Muslims to follow the Bible when it teaches infinite hatred agains women? Don't have me give you examples (I've done so in millions of my other answers concerning this), but to see what I mean, you may go here: http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AmQWu8uDDFNrljdLH0UlW7yRHQx.?qid=20061225222453AAomXg6
So you can see what your Bible says about YOUR womanhood and what my Quran says about MY womanhood.
There are many other reasons, of course, but I'm not gonna bother putting them here again (I've done so in other answers that I don't have time to find right now).
~Peace and blessings of Allah be upon the world and all its citizens. Aameen!~

The difference is that our religious leaders don't call the child murderers here martyrs and praise them as saints. Anoth6er difference is that nobody sees you protesting every time a terrorist strikes, but we sure do see you protesting whenever a non muslim even says anything you don't like. Don't talk about slivers and timbers until you do something about your so called "holy" leaders and their penchant for violence
