Do you think you may have come in contact with an angel?

2007-02-28 02:49:49 · 8 answers · asked by KT 1

Starting from the first page to the last. I have a NIV study Bible on my lap here, and the thing is huge it is 2000 pages in length. I am on page 80 lol. I figure at the rate I have been reading it, three months will pass before I am finished.

Even after finishing it, I imagine I will have to read it a few more times to understand it. That does not include the research I try to accomplish while I read through the chapters.

Once & for all, I wish to quash all doubts beyond shadow of a doubt.

How did you first discover God, & what method did you use? Did you:

Picture, with a camera?
Video, with a camcorder?
Felt him touch you?
Smelled him, perhaps smelled like a jasmine flower or something?
Heard him talk to you, & recorded it on tape cassette?
Tasted him, found him to be good like the Bible says, perhaps like chocolate?

Please, only serious & dedicated people who are seeking the real truth need respond. Do NOT reply if you don't even believe in God. I have to know the truth once & for all.

Feel free to email me your personal pics, vids, recordings of God, but ONLY if you have 1st hand evidence. No 2cd hand allowed, as it might be fabricated.

Please tell me your method, describe in detail what to do, so I can capture God also & know for sure he is, as I have no use for any God that can't be known. That kind of God is worse than Santa Clause to me...

Thanks! Really need to know!

Do you have any personal stories or stories of saints offering up little things to God? I have heard of people offering to God something that they may be uncomfortable with, yet offering it as an act of love. It could be a visit to the dentist done without complaining, a trial or misfortune borne patiently, being extra nice to a rude person, etc. Which little prayer can you say while offering something to God and can you apply it for any intention? Do only Catholics do this?
Do you remember something that your parents or grandparents taught you about this that you'd like to share?

Question: Why dont all girls who are relgious turn wicca/witch as most girl friendly relgion?

Question Details: Why dont all girls who are relgious turn pagan as most girl friendly relgion? ie no telling them dress repressive codes or that their are dirty or sinful or whores for being pretty or sexaul. High priestess roles. female god figures like mother earth. No history of relgious war, homophobia, stoning or buring people alive. the magic works or should I say basic herbal medicine and pyschology. You are basically a chilled out hippy, No terrorisim, no screaming about fornication. its fine to be happy and have fun as long as not hurting others etc. and nice to nature. So why be chrisitn or muslim given their track record of abuse and mistreatment of girls or other relgions. As for satan worship. they have no concept of satan so magic does not come from evil gods of claptrap like that.

The word Nun came up any time you would see a Catholic Sister.

Ok, bit long this one, hope you can give a suitable answer. My aunt lived her whole life looking after her mam and dad. Working inthe family shop, and helping my nan when she was very ill until my nan died about 6 years ago.

She never married, had a boyfriend and loved the church, she was a minister of the eucharist, and never harmed a fly.

About a month ago she was in the bathroom - after spending a regular afternoon with some family - and collapsed and hit her head, she had a stroke.

She died a few days later.

There is so much bad in this world, bad people etc why did he pick her, she had done nothing wrong in her whole god dam life. i was/am catholic but to be honest cant see the popint anymore as god obviosuly doesnt care. he just picks and chooses and we could all go at any time. it is so unfair, why did he do this?

Before answering this question, please read the article at http://www.metrotimes.com/editorial/story.asp?id=10242

Excerpts:

"Father Jay said, 'You know, if I'm in heaven, and a person I loved dearly is in hell, I could not be completely happy.' He said, 'I think God, in his goodness, would have us all in heaven, but maybe not all at the same time.'"

"[Roman Catholic priest] Samonie has a doctoral degree in metaphysics from University of Detroit and two master's degrees. He meditates and practices yoga — has been for more than four decades — and his quest for truth has led him to study Eastern traditions in which religion coincides with personal mystical experiences. But it took him years to come to terms with the out-of-body sensations — the visions, the visits from spirit guides and spontaneous trances that brought to his mind vivid memories of past lives as a concert pianist, a Mayan architect and the 17th century painter Diego Velásquez."

Fascinating article.

My cousin and I are debeting whether there will be two sexes in heaven or not. I personally think there will be the two sexes but our earthly desires will be elliminated. When God created Adam and Eve they were female and male. My cousin on the other hand says that we will be neutral, neither female nor male. I am a Christian, but I don't like having the thought of being neutral, but if God wants it that way, it's only for the beter. What are your opinions on this matter.

I hear lots of people saying, well, if you think your God, go ahead, create this or that like he does.

Humankind are very close to (if they haven't already) creating other living things.

Does this mean they are God?

The irony is, they are told not to mess with it, it is only God's domain, yet when they do create it, people act like they want it?

What gives, are people God, or not God? It has been proven that given time, anything God can do, so can man, right?

Luke 12:1-3 (N.I.V.)
Meanwhile, when a crowd of many thousands had gathered, so that they were trampling on one another, Jesus began to speak first to his disciples, saying: “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.”

I know some of you don't share the beliefes of others so I am intrested to know, when you die how do we say goodbye to you properly. We can't pray for you and your soul because you won't have one. We can't wish you well as you start your journey to heaven because you have made it clear there is no place like that. Are you just a body that will just be put into the earth with no kind of blessing. I really would like to know what happens and how to say goodbye because so many of my freinds are none believers. They just say it happens and it is over but there has to be more.

It's not Biblical, never mentioned. Is this a man-made tradition, should it even be done? And what about the self-sacrifice associated with Lent? That's not mentioned in Scripture either. Pagan roots here? Another Constantine thing?
