"To offer up to God" is to offer all our daily crosses, trials, and difficulties to God. The morning offering prayer is a good way to start the day. It goes like this...
O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer you my prayers, works, joys and sufferings of this day, In union with the Masses offered throughout the world today, For the love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners, and in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Amen.

RE:
What do Catholics mean when they say 'Offer it up to God'?What do they offer and is it pleasing to God?
Do you have any personal stories or stories of saints offering up little things to God? I have heard of people offering to God something that they may be uncomfortable with, yet offering it as an act of love. It could be a visit to the dentist done without complaining, a trial or misfortune borne...

I love your question. Don't think I've seen another one like it.
Yes, everything in your question can be offered to God: being nice to someone, bearing difficulty during the day, thanking God for good fortune, asking that He bless someone who's going through hard times, etc. It's our little way of offering everything in our life to Him as an act of love. We even offer our sins so that God can heal them and free us from them.
I don't know if Protestants do this, but maybe so in their own way.
God bless.

Um... I'm a catholic and I never heard of "offer it up to god." Of course there is alot of things that catholics does that I don't approve of. I know I'm speaking against the catholics but seriously God is God and God don't care what kind of religion you are or what I am. As long as I believe in his son Jesus Christ then it's all good. '
Come to think of it "offer it up to god" might be the exact same concept as "lent." But of course I don't understand lent anyways. Some one told me that lent is where you sacrifice something for a short period of time.
I thought me volunteering my time to help others instead of helping myself is sacrificing my alone time (think out loud there).
About the prayer thing, um.. I talk to god and only god, I don't waste my breathe on saints and priest. It's like what the point anyways god see you doing something that you know your not suppose to be doing it but he wants you to confront him and admit what you did was wrong. Just because he sees doesn't mean you are admitting it while doing that activity, he wants you to admit to yourself and him of what you did and if it was wrong or not.
I do that, I'll talk to him in the morning and at night I'll tell him what happen during the day because it will help you understood what you did during the day and how that can make you into a better person tomorrow.
I don't know if this help or not but I tried...

Not in my stodgy Irish Catholic family.
May be more about being Celtic and stony than about being Catholic.
No, the masses are all pretty blah.
Even the guitar ones are lackluster.
Maybe the Charismatics, but they're a whole different breed of catholic anyway.
They're probably a whole different breed of personailty, that isn't on the normal curve.
They may be the only people giving Catholicism an uplifting name!

Offer it up to God is from 1 Peter 5:7 Cast all of your worries upon Him for He cares for you. Which means give all of your worries and problems to God and He will take care of them, dont need to worry about the little things in life. Give it to God.

The Roman Catholics think, act and worship in a ritualistic manner in the traditions of men as the pagan worshipers did in ages past. They have nothing to offer up to God that proves their commitment to Him through their faith in His Son Jesus Christ. The Roman Catholics do not have a personal relationship with God, my Father in Heaven. They are not born of the Holy Spirit and they do not give up their life to serve God and to live for God through His Son Jesus Christ. That is the only way to enter the Kingdom of God. Their pagan practices are all considered by God to be abominations against Him. To worship God in the true sense of the word would be to first obey all ten of His Commandment's. The RCC does not do this, so they all worship in vein and all of their prayers are in vein. The whole RCC is in vein and blasphemous to God. They are false Christian's in a false church controlled by a false leader and owned by a false Savior (Satan). Get out of Babylon while you still can!

I just offered "SLEDGE" up to God.
God rejected him.
I think the "Babylon thing" was the last straw.
