I don't think you understand the train of thought the people you are asking this question to, follow...

As much as you are going to hate this concept, the element of a "soul" has never been scientifically proven to exist. Asking an agnostic or darwinist to prove where a soul comes from is kind of pointless. They don't believe in souls, just sentinent life and energy. Things that are scientifically proven to exist.

Basically, if they can acknowledge a soul exists, then they're not really much of a darwinist or agnostic are they, because they would have to acknowledge God's existance to acknowledge the existance of a soul.

Souls came from listening to James Brown and Aretha Franklin. Most kids in America in the '50s and '60s were pretty nerdy, unhip. Elvis started covering some Soul music that he heard as a child. It was contageous.

Finally, the original artists stepped forth. James Brown, the Godfather of Soul, injected Teflon in our hips. Aretha, the Queen of Soul, taught us what to do with that mobility.

The war in Viet Nam was really about wiping out Soul Brothers who wanted to vote, sit anywhere they wanted, and drink out of any waterfountain. Instead it brought more White kids in contact with Soul. The reason we left Viet Nam was of Soul Brother Marvin Gaye, who asked "What's Goin' On?" and meant it.

You probably know that the Monkees did not have Soul. They recorded silly pop music of the time. Bless their hearts.

Hope this helps in your quest for musical knowledge.

Your question implies the existence of a soul, which is by no means certain.

If we assume that a person does have a soul, the most logical conclusion is that it was grown in the womb, just like everything else about that person is. We do not need to mystify our lack of understanding.

Are you asking the 60's group The Monkies? Because the plural of "monkey" is "monkeys".

I don't think anyone really knows that. The Christian will say God of course. Someone will tell us science is working on finding that out (they really are).

I can only tell you, in words that are not adequate, that I have seen and known people who have no soul....and when you see them, you will believe, religious or not, that our soul makes all the difference.

God gave man a soul when he was sufficiently developed to become mature. That is to say evolved enought to become concious of God and his need for God and his purpose.

Did you ever stop to think that the Adam/Eve story might be a parable type story to learn from? That it shows that we are created by God and for God with a purpose. That we a special creation that we are mindful of him. Rather than a science lesson?

You seem to assume that there are such things as "souls," and having made that assumption you are forced to assume that these "souls" come from somewhere.

Before asking "where," or "why," perhaps we ought to at least define our terms and describe what we mean by "souls."

Is there a physical existence of 'soul' or is it just a thought???

If I described something called 'anarakora' and I told you it is an invisible goat living in your ear, which helps you to hear...

Would you believe me???

(I'll answer on behalf of monkeys, okay.)

There are no souls. Our conscious mind is the product of our living brain and the biochemical reactions taking place within it. Once it dies, our consciousness dies.

There are no souls, again.
