If we don't judge others and leave everything up to God in His Mysterious Way, how can we prevent say rapists from commiting rape, or thieves from robbing us?

Is Christianity complete madness?

Bush has used his faith as a decision-making tool for various things during his tenure as president. That is well-documented, as is his deep belief in God. How, if at all, do you think this has affected religion in America?

For us christians, it's instilled into us by the Holy Spirit to trust and believe by faith. For the unregenerate, non-believer....this is impossible because the things of God must be spiritually discerned.

So....to the non-believer:

Why not put your logic and your 'need for physical proof' on the shelf and try to leave some things up to mystery? Does absolutely everything in creation need an explanation in order for you to believe that it's real?

God has revealed Himself to us through His prophets, through His Word, through creation, and most importantly.....through Jesus Christ who is the eternally blessed God (Amen).

You cannot see the air that you breathe but yet....you trust that it's there. Why not believe that it is God who put that air there to begin with....after all....you can't see Him either, correct?

I don't doubt some are genuine, but do you ever wonder if some of them are just using it to get free sooner?

Would love to hear your opinions.

Please bear in mind, I'm only going to ask for your opinion. I wish you would keep an open mind, just as you guys claim you are, alright? Thanks in advance.

Okay, so first let me post this:

"The shape of the skeleton determines the general appearance of the embryo in the bones stage during the 7th week; muscles do not develop at the same time but their development follows soon after. The muscles take their positions around the bones throughout the body and therefore clothe the bones. Thus, the muscles take their well known forms and structures… The stage of clothing with muscle occurs during the 8th week…"

It's from a scientific publication about human developement in the womb, alright? Now see this:

[We] then formed the drop into a clot and formed the clot into a lump and formed the lump into bones and clothed the bones in flesh; and then brought him into being as another creature. Blessed be Allah, the Best of Creators! (Qur'an, 23:14)

How many real Christians (percentage wise) do you think there actually is in the world. I mean, Jesus said that "narrow is the way, and few there be that find it" and that He will say to many "Depart from me, I never knew you". With an estimated 1 to 2 billion professing Christians in the world: What percentage do you think are actually Christians (the bibical definition) and how many of them are just people who happen to name the name of "Christian" but in the Lords eyes are just being "Religious"? i'm wondering because if one looks at the people (espescially in the U.S.) who say they are Christian (90% or so?) and then look at the morality that is consistently practiced by the vast majority, it does make one wonder. What say you? What percentage?

Have you ever been to a born again christian meeting where the people hold their hands up in the air as they listen to sermons? What was your impression if you have experience this? What do you think of the christian rock groups lyrics and their music? The ones who play at such meetings. How do the very passionate sermons seem to you? How do the hittings or pushings on the foreheads of the yet to be saved seem to you? Is this the white peoples answer to the black gospel christian groups of old?

Everyone has such radically different views, but it seems religion is what causes them to kill in hatred instead of love.

When will we unite our views, and start living in love for our brethren?

Will it be soon? I'm tired of good people dying!

My favourite cousin had a fever for 2 days. His parents took him to the doctor. It turns out he has caught a bacteria. He got a blood transfusion yesterday, but it doesn't look very good for him.
He's just 6 years old-- same as my brother......He and my brother have been best friends since they were little.
What should I do?

This is not to offend anyone but i do want to know your beliefs. Firstly was the religion christianity alive when Jesus Christ was actually alive ? Did Jesus ask his followers to pray for him or was it later that someone decided that christians should pray to Jesus ? Praying for Jesus happened after he was crusified right so did Jesus volunteered to sacrifice himself to wash all Christians sin's or was this what someone said after Jesus was lifted to the heavens after the crusifiction?. If my details are correct then the bible had been compiled afew years after Jesus had been lifted so what are the chances of it containing the original words he said ?

This is really all one big question with several points...

f we are really results of evolution, why do people in this forum get upset when someone insults them or takes offense - on what are we basing our standard of behaviour?

Can I not type anything I want without regard for anyone's feelings? What does it matter if you're upset with a reply to your questions?
