This is really all one big question with several points...

f we are really results of evolution, why do people in this forum get upset when someone insults them or takes offense - on what are we basing our standard of behaviour?

Can I not type anything I want without regard for anyone's feelings? What does it matter if you're upset with a reply to your questions?

The typo is intentional to see how many will pick on it...

I am afraid to say that many on this site can be biased, closed minded, intolerant of other points of view and ideas, humourless, racsist, bitter, filled with hatred, ignorant and slightly moronic! Yet, there are also many who are fair minded, tolerant understanding, helpful etc etc. Its all just a balance, which also sums up humanity, a balance, that swings back and forth - never finding common ground!
I do get annoyed, when I ask questions that I consider to be relevant, (eg- existence of god) (political hypocrisy) I like to think that the point of this site, is to learn, help and understand, but the intolerant one's who are easily offended, send off emails on a regualr basis, complaining about spam, or insults or 'other' - they are small minded, or trying to use the 'points' system (and the points thing is for fun, not to be taken so seriously!!) so, therefore, a question is removed. Also the guidelines 'yahoo' have for this site are somewhat restrictive to say the least.

EXAMPLE - someone asked 'what happened in a recent episode of 24' - i gave a link to the OFFICIAL 24 website, which gives synopsis on all aired episodes, this person then got it removed complaining it was spam! what an idiot!!

below are links i use to offer reading material on religions, gods and moral codes - no doubt there will be those out there who will think of it as spam, rather than a way to learning or researching a subject, that so many clearly have no proper knowledge of on this site!

Hello,
I believe that this forum is a great place for people to be able to express themselves. It is sad that a number of people are injurred by other's comments but that is true no matter where those comments are made. This should be a place where all people are treated equally no matter what their religious affiliation or opinion is. It has become in many cases a place where some people come to bash others and attempt to cause them a feeling of being attacked. I am not particularly fond of that. I attempt to answer questions in a way that does not inflict pain on others even when they are evil comments toward myself or others. When I have blood sugar problems I realize that I occaisionally also become aggitated and say things that seem short. Our standard should be to express our own beliefs no matter what they are in a way that does not inflict pain on others. This would allow everyone the opportunity to be heard and express their beliefs in the same manner. Please feel free to BASH me in any way that you want. I am a Christian who loves to assist others whenever I can. I do not believe in evolution but I believe that you have a right to your own opinion about it.

Study these scriptures and see what you think. To become a Christian:
1. We must HEAR GOD’s WORD. - Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
2. We are told to BELIEVE. - To the Prison guard in Acts 16:31 Paul and Silas said, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household."
3. We must REPENT (turn from) of our sins. - Acts 17:30 Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent.
4. We are told to CONFESS CHRIST before men. - Matthew 10:32 "Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven.
5. We are to enter the waters and BE BAPTIZED. - Mark 16:16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned.
6. We are told to CONTINUE TO BE FAITHFUL until death. - Revelation 2:10b Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
Send me a note if you have questions. I am anxious to hear from you. Have a Great day!!

Our morals, our standard of behavior, is merely based on common sense. Do you like it when someone lies to, takes from, does violence to, or cheats on you? No? Then don't do it to other people.

From the golden rule, all ethics and morals evolved. There's no need for gods to tell us that the best possible world for everyone equals the best possible world for you.
