I think that it has caused more to turn to God. But I don't know why people try to single out Bush as a Christian and for making decisions based on his beliefs. Clinton, Bush Sr., and all before them have been Christians and stated so many times. Of course, some, like Clinton only invoked his belief system as needed.

Bush isn't common. He lied us into the Iraq conflict. He lied approximately how long it might take for us to be finished there. he remains mendacity. Clinton became embarrassing, yet a minimum of his nastiness became own stuff. Bush's nastiness is international and a lot extra risky. somebody stated that Bush mandated "academic criteria." no longer! What he did became impose the "no toddler left in the back of" requirement, which isn't an academic usual, however the right opposite: it require the removing of criteria. because of this coverage, sensible infants are having their grades unfairly constrained, so as that the hollow between their scores and the scores of stupider infants won't look so large. the best infants have no incentive to paintings their toughest anymore via fact it won't practice of their grades no matter how properly they do. Clinton became undesirable. Bush is worse. If we even have elections back, i will guess that this form in the direction of baseness in national management keeps.

I can't speak for the relationship between God and Bush...they seem to exist on totally different ends of the spectrum.
My faith in God remains intact but my faith in government continually erodes as I watch what unfolds in our country.
I get sick when I think about corporate greed, how CEO's get millions in bonus or salary, while the people, like me, who do the REAL work, make the bread, care for the sick, whatever, see erosion in wages, benefits, job security and more. Bush, in my mind, epitomizes much that is wrong in our country....no secret that he and his family continue to prosper by the sweat of our soldiers and the rest of us. I dont believe he represents anything close to God but do believe that he IS one of Gods kids.
I dont believe that any documentation can convince me that his decisions are based on a belief in any God I understand.
Good question..thanks

but we all know that he's lying. People lie and say that they love God, they pray, that they have a relationship with God just because it makes them look good. It's funny though when Christ say on that day, there will be people who say Lord Lord, haven't we done these things in your name, and Christ says to them depart from me you worker of iniquity, I NEVER KNEW YOU. So this should let us know that Christ isn't some passive being that just let's us get away with the evil deeds we do, there is a day called judgement and everyone will be there giving account ot what they have done. Be Blessed and ask God for a new heart so on that day you can stand before with full confidnece as Pauls poked about because you've been planted in the Kingdom fo God.

First of all, I don't buy Bush's "faith". That's just a sweet-smelling cover he throws over his own stinky decisions. Second, anyone who turns away from God because of a lout like Bush, wasn't with God to start with. Bush is just one more of the princes of this earth that we were warned not to put our trust in.

If G.Bush, a man who can neither speak nor think properly, has affected peoples religious faith, then they should reconsider the meaning of faith.

Not at all. As a matter I think his presidency, especially the second term, is proof that the end is fast approaching.

He is a great man. I doubt his presidency in itself has affected religion any.
Now I admit that he is no Reagan. Someone as great as Reagan only comes once a lifetime... but Bush is a great man!
