REMEMBER: You are a Christian in this scenario, not an unbeliever. So answer it how you would IF you were a Christian. It is easy to do this by taking a look at HOW the Bible says Christians should be, not what you think of Christians you know or your biases [i.e. judgments or prejudices] concerning Christians.

Isn't it frightening that it is they who equate stealing a penny with raping and murdering a child and
isn't it even more frightening that they claim to know the mind of God and put the blame on him: "hey it's not my rules, it's God's".

Who else finds this mentality highly disturbing, and how could one help but question the sanity of people who think all "sin" is the same.

That is what Adam means. What does this reference to red clay mean? Is it the body? What is Eve then? Is Eve the soul in this metaphor?

Lots of people seem to distinguish people, things, actions etc by being right or wrong, good or evil, normal or abnormal. But does it occur to people that this line is so vague and unclear?

A wonderful and revealing prayer. This oneness of the Father and the Son.. Christ asks that we also may be one with the Father. See verses 11 and 21-23. So then is this oneness simply the reconciliation? We will never be gods. We are God's own, children of the Most High.

But what of the trinity as so many men define it? Is the definition a construct of man set up to divide? A false litmus test to eject all who would question man's doctrine? Is the Holy Spirit a third person or simply that aspect of Father's Mind toward us able to abide within us through faith in Christ? The veil is rent and we can approach the throne boldly.

Grace strikes us when we are in great pain and restlessness…Sometimes at that moment a wave of light breaks into our darkness, and it is as though a voice were saying: 'You are accepted.'

8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8

Like this scripture says God saves people based on their faith which rewards them with his grace. Many religions such as Catholicism which really isn't Christianity, believe that you have to earn your salvation through rituals and rights. Jesus came to save us from the curse of sin and death through the law (old testament sacrifices and laws) since it was weak through the flesh(romans8:2) meaning that that man can't achieve salvation based on his mortal power. Man needs God's spiritual and eternal power to be perfect like him.
