I say no. But there are things I've been reported for that can only have been reported because of intellectual cowardice on the part of the person reporting.

It all depends on the reason. If any person reports another person regardless of religion or what ever believe it should be base on real abused. I mean, if a religious person asked an inflamatory questions like why aren't you sinners in church right now, it is expected to receive some what of an inflamatory answer. In this case the person making the question should not report the person posting an answer. If you ask a religious question and some bastard come in putting your religion down and being out of topic then it is more than ok to report as abuse.
The problem is that most religious question I have seen post here are just asking for trouble. They are not questions at all but more a way of pushing ones believe system and belittle anyone else who think different. Over time people get tired of this and associate religion with this type of people. Have you ever heard the phrase. "Tell me who you walk with and I'll tell you what kind of man you are". Same thing. This is not exclusive to religion but religious people tend to be more visible.

Some perhaps but you are probably not going to get religious from this site anyways. Almost everyone here gets reported and it's not always for abuse sometimes it's just for giving a honest answer and someone else don't like the answer. I was pushed away from going to Christian churches because of the members being Un-Christian and if my conversion had been left up to them it would of never happened, the Lord intervened, Jesus is the church and as a believer I am a member of his church and I can go to him anytime, anywhere.

JD, my feeling on this is that if someone can that easily push you away from religion, it wasn't for you in the first place, and you were looking for an excuse to be offended.
I've been reported for all kinds of idiotic things.. I have had my points restored more often than not because I've actually disputed the report.
One's religious views (whether for or against) shouldn't be based on what others believe anyway. If I can educate someone or even provoke them to look further into something, then that's a good thing, even if they report me.
The point this board is to share views and exchange information.
Anyone who is that easily swayed should examine why that is, and not blame others for their lack of idealogical foundation.

Using the kind of rationality and logic that fanatical religionists are just not capable of, I once typed a lengthy rebuttal to something one of them had posted in the form of a question. I wrote with no bad language, no antagonism, no sourness, no insult, nothing but a very truthful, straightforward and courteous expression of my reasoned opinion. I had my response stricken, and got a violation notice. It had clearly been reported either by the questioner, or one of his kind, out of pure belligerence because it WAS such a logical argument there was just no comeback to it. Perhaps one of these days the Yahoo Q&A team will revise their whole "abuse" system and close the loopholes that still allow people to report alleged abuse gratuitously or just out of pure malice.

Being a Christian, I don't see how that would be possible! If you have no belief in God, how then can my disagreement of what you say push you away from the Most High God? It is up to you alone to choose what you will have in your life. Because I choose to serve the Lord should be a beacon of hope for all people not a detterent from knowing the man that I am, or recognizing what God wants me to be! In short find another excuse! Don't blame our God or our beliefs!

as quickly as I first joined Yahoo!solutions, I had some minimum volume of understand for all of us, which contain the religious. yet, after analyzing countless idiotic and adversarial solutions in diverse categories via the "trustworthy," I reached the top that they have got been under contempt and deserve degradation and humiliation at each and each threat. for sure, the 1st element that happens while one adopts a non secular perception device is a dramatic drop interior the guy's IQ and an entire loss of the potential to reason.

I guess any lame excuse will do,right? You all need to start taking responsibility for your own decisions instead of blaming everything on religious people and their beliefs.

My answer is no.
If one was reported, one's question or answer was deleted.
So if they were looking for a question or answer in the R&S section, they would return looking for it.
No matter how true or false the question or answer was.
If they are seeking it out to add to their belief pattern then they will return.

Should one abandon the community standards in order to be "seeker sensitive" towards those that would abuse the forum?
