Psychics ? / Ghosts ?

My dad passed away when i was 14 ( im now 20 ) and i have always wanted to go to a psychic to see if i could talk to my dad ... to see if he has anything to tell me. I also would like to see a psychics for other reasons ... but everyone around me tells me i shouldnt go and its a waste of money - and that if i do its a big sin ( im Catholic - so its very against my religion )

I see on tv the psycic Silvia Brown - who can talk with dead - and sometimes i really believe it. But anywho i also want to know if you believe in ghosts -

so tell me if you believe - and if so why ? do you have any crazy stories? i would love to hear!

Why do they keep denying the Flying Spaghetti Monster. We can not state our beliefs without the unbelievers looking down upon our father.

God is real, and he is made of pasta!

my local homeless shelter? My mom met a homeless guy who said that the shelter will just barely give you a sandwitch.

So i wanted to do a comunity sevice project and help the people at the shelter get food and warmth. But I cant find the number to call and find out how many people are there.

I tried the phone book and the internet and on the sign of the building as my school bus drove past it. But I cant find it.

Do you think 411 would have it or what??? I just need help.

And don't give me a biblical answer. As a pagan, I like the book of Job. To me it is a person standing up for their beliefs regardless of the consequences. What does it mean to you?

It seems pretty lame to me. Is it because people need some kind of support because they are so lame? This seems to happen a lot with really lame questions about Christians. Does this mean all people who ask lame questions about Christians are really lame?

This is an admittedly bizarre question that just popped into my head. And since I have gotten some unexpectedly great answers to my strange questions, I thought I would go ahead and ask it. So...

How is God like a gun?

If so, why?

How do you know?

Can he save you?

Do you pray?

What do you think?

...their spirit does not? I am a christian and believe in the bible, but the bible says in Ezekiel 18:20 that the soul dies. Is there any reason why people believe that the soul lives on after death?

Also, you don't have to, but I would like to know if the person answering is older than 17 or not so if you are younger or 17 write (young) otherwise write (adult). Thank you for your help in explaining this to me.

All answers and opinions are appreciated:

Eze 18:20 The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

2Ch 25:4 Fathers shall not die because of their children, nor children die because of their fathers, but each one shall die for his own sin.

Mine is an atheist dude. He kind of sounds like Morgan Freeman. I would trade him in for James Earl Jones but I don't know who to petition to.

You may need to think about this one...
What did Jesus do that most Christians do today, that was not commanded? I'll say it a different way: Can you think of any act that he did that Christians imitate but was not per se told to do? PLEASE give me the bible chapter to look up. I would say the keyword terms here are "most Christians" and not just a few.

Does He wring His hands in hopes of my decision for Him?

Or is this all only a take-it-or-leave-it offer?

Or if it's both, can you give me your answer on a 1-10 scale?
