In the book "Lullaby" by Chuck Palahniuk there is a theory that God created humans and put them on Earth so he could come back later and consume, or eat, us. I'm wondering if this a an actual religion and if there are any people who practice it.

I met a bloke who said he was God and offered to shake his hand. He looked at me and said he doesn't touch the working classes. Is this Christian like?

Do you use the same words? For example. If you say "Sha lala te trigo loo loo" and are saying to god "God, i pray my family will be safe today" Do to always use "Sha lala" for god and "te trigo" for family. Or do you just flop your tongue around and make noises and think about god?

From http://christianexodus.org :

"ChristianExodus.org is moving thousands of Christians to South Carolina to reestablish constitutionally limited government founded upon Christian principles. It is evident that the U.S. Constitution has been abandoned under our current federal system, and the efforts of Christian activism to restore our Godly republic have proven futile over the past three decades. The time has come for Christian Constitutionalists to protect our liberties in a State like South Carolina by interposing the State's sovereign authority retained under the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution."

Your thoughts?

In Matthew 12, Mark 2, and Luke 6, where Jesus talks about His being Lord of the Sabbath, He seems to be contradicting God's fourth Commandment, about Sabbath-keeping. His disciples were picking grain for themselves to eat.
1) I can't understand--is it all right for us to work on the Sabbath, or isn't it?
2) The Sabbath is Saturday, right?

In all three accounts, Jesus used the precedent of David going into the temple and eating the priests' shewbread on the Sabbath, and even giving some to his companions.
3) Was Jesus saying it wasn't a sin for David to do that?
4) If He WAS saying that, how could it be OK for David (or us) to break one of God's Commandments?

Mark 2:27 is especially confusing to me: "27And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:"
5) What do you suppose Jesus meant by this comment?

Thanks very much for any help you can give me. God bless you!

No meanhearted or rude replies, please. Thanks.

Do they not have a sense of humor or an ability to exam other points of views? They behave as if though, at least many in the US, they are victims of some kind of massive discrimination. They clearly have no problem insulting people of other faiths, views, opinions, sexualities, and understandings.Sure they shield their insults behind the mask that their religion says that they are right and so everyone else must be wrong. But that is the heart of the problem. If you're right and everyone else is wrong then how can you be held accountable for your actions against those that are wrong? And so, it is A-OK to insult people, try to convert people, use religion as an excuse for everything, and develop a superiority complex just as long as you're right.Right?

I was raised Christian and always felt 'wrong'. I shouldn't feel that way, I shouldn't talk that way, I shouldn't be that way. Then I had to repent and be remorseful for just being me. I was to feel grateful that God would love me despite of who I was. Other Christians betowed grace and mercy to me when I 'screwed up'. I grew up thinking something was wrong with me and I had anxiety and a lack of self confinence into my 20's... I am wondering if this was the cause?

Has anyone read 'The Dawkins Delusion'?
I have just heard of a new book which debunks the dogmatic, atheistic fundamentalism of Richard Dawkins and his book 'The God Delusion'. Apparently it is written by Oxford professor, Alister McGrath (co-authored by Joanna Collicutt McGrath). He is a former atheist who has known Dawkins for many years, so he should know what he is talking about. Has anyone read it yet? If so, what do you think?

In one verse, Jesus says of his Second Coming that neither the angels, "nor the Son, but the Father only" knows the time of His return! How (if Jesus is God) can one part of God NOT KNOW something that another part DOES??? Do Jesus and the Father have separate minds? If so, they are TWO Gods, not one!!!

We have a writer here in my country who wrote a story showing how..acctualy the devil invented printing, magazines and academies...From all of that medicine is among the things that makes me belive...could be from the devil, who tries to make us believe in matter and not belive in God, believe in a kind of power of a substance..and not believe that the power of God cures...

God said that he is the Begining and the End, and if someone is ill, then go to priest , get some oil from church and get healthy, or call the priest who are supposed to bring oil from church and become healthy...So God saying that ..cannot give power to a substance used by people who are not priests( with powers from God as promised) On the contrary...
Then acording to God ..there are NOT mortal desease, all of them can be cured by priests.
Maybe the condition is to believe..
But according to medicine there are mortal diseases...meaning they say against God...that a man can die..because the medicine cannot..
