why do some people who believe in evolution believe that we didnt come from some type of ape, if you go far back in time you will most likely see that it all started from one type of ape and split off into several differant species, for example there is many types of birds and the reason for this is that birds are very migratory and with that you have many types of eniviroments that will change the bird over time, so why is it hard to believe that we come from an ape like creature probably more dumber than a common ape of today

Is there any credible solid evidence that the bible is more than historical fiction? The most common evidence pointing towards the bible being fact is that the bible says it is the word of god. How is that a credible response?

Many biblical accounts of Jesus feats support the notion that he was a Shaman, rather than the son of a deity with Godly powers. Throughout history the Christian church has adapted their beliefs and borrowed many rituals from Paganism and other beliefs, therefore is it plausible that the beginning of the Church did the same?

I just finished reading Summa contra Gentiles (Aquinas) and while his arguments are not compelling there is no doubt that the man was brilliant. But that was 700+ years ago. What is happening today, Josh McDowell with his Mc-apologetics (to go with your Mc-Fries and Mc-Shake)? Tim Lahaye and his scholarly Left Behind series? Or maybe Ravi Zacharias (he is kind of light and cheesy, you know)? Or even better Lee Stroble (nuff said).

What has happened?

everyone believes that they have the correct belief for them
they have enough personal experience to convince them that they have made the right choice
that every God/Goddess is the true God/Goddess for the believers
and that there is no God for the Atheist
no one is any more right than the next person and no one is wrong
can we all agree on this at least ?

when i ask why people believe what they do. when i ask them about a contradiction in their beliefs, they always are completly unprepared with what they know, despite the fact that they take classes in school to teach them about it so they can go on their mission after graduation.
