Hello,
This isn't a silly question at all, it is the brains job to sort out the educational stuff you will recieve in your lifetime, and sort out all the good information it gets, from whatever source it recieves it, when you first went to school, the education there was so very basic that even a child could take in and use the lessons it was hearing from the teachers, and as you get older, you want the lessons to be more complex in their content, that you had to think more and more, and your brain was automatically tuned already to accept what it understood to be the facts of those lessons too, so knowledge is and should be unforgettable, for my part, I learned Algebra when I was at school, and now I am 63, I can honestly say I have never had to use the principles involved with Algebra, to sort out the mathematical problems, it proved that there was always another way, and I am glad I had the knowledge to do it, which goes top prove that knowledge comes from so many various sources in you life. I hope this helps you...... Tony M

It's a great question!!!

No one decided this.

Knowledge is a body of agreed concepts. Someone once said 2+2=4...on the basis that it could be demonstrated with objects...2 grapes plus 2 grapes ....etc.

Once Knowledge is accepted....the question of how it is to be used crops up!?... Does 2+2 always work when we would like 2+3 to equal 4 if it suits us?...so arises the question of understanding!

But understanding is little more than manipulation if the knowledge and understanding cannot be applied with wisdom...In wisdom lays the higher human qualities of determination...the moral and the ethical!

So...not a silly question at all!!! Who has decided that 2+2=4 is probably the wisest question we can ask...because it exposes knowledge for being considerably less than wisdom!

Virtually all useful knowledge comes from academic research. 89% of the findings were
presented in academic journals. Trade journals made negligible contributions.
Special treatment (e.g., invited) papers had an average usefulness index that was 20 times
that for papers accepted through traditional reviewing channels. In addition, invited
papers are less expensive to process.
Dissemination and utilization of knowledge are poor. To address this, we propose the
development of web sites devoted to principles (condition/action statements). These sites
would summarize knowledge in various areas so that practitioners and researchers can
use it.

I think you mean : where does wisdom come from.
Knowledge comes from the things we learn either at school or personal experience. Wisdom is the proper application of knowledge for optimum result.

If you are not confused knowledge with Wisdom............

Knowledge comes by learning (step by step).

We try to capsize things in our tiny hard disk.
Unfortunately our hard disk is not enough to record about the whole matters of the Universe and the infinitive number of Universes!!!

Knowledge is earned. Knowledge = work

expertise isn't inherent to the human race. it really is discovered. subsequently, expertise is inherently above us. because, it really is elementary to our survival. If expertise is there and it really is available, something or someone might want to be the holder of it (expertise). That Holder of expertise, might want to be to whom we owe devotion and praise, for that One sustains us by potential of expertise. We might want to finish that One to have intelligence itself and be someone also. because all of us do not forget that, individual is a more effective developed then the element without individual, i.e. a rock. That One might want to be noted as GOD.

You read, you listen, you analyze, you compare and contrast, you do it all over again and often... then knowledge and wisdom emerge.
