Or does that only apply to atheists?

Tell me what we are to do and not do [according to our works for Him] as followers of Christ.

I find often that believers show more spite, anger, and selfrighteousness than the true works of God that they should. Especially when it somes to people of other faiths/beliefs/religions.

I am asking this of followers of Christ, as well as those of other faiths/religions/beliefs, because I have found that by asking EVERYONE, you can get a broader prospective on a question/topic.

Can we ALL be respectful on here... I know its possible. You know we should all have in common that we want respect, not to be offended . Whather you believe is real (athism, or all kinds of religions) Lets try not to vent at one another we are all humans. I agree there are christians(diff.belief) out there that say things in a manor that is upsetting just as there are athiest. Believers should not push someone into your faith or jude other religins and athiest. And Athiest should not belittle our beliefs. Lets try to find a common ground. It saddens me. There are poeple out there that ask, might want to educate themsleves on atheism and the christians(believers) should not answer to preach to them, or critcize, argue, put blame, etc.. And the same goes with the christianity. Atheist should not impose you facts, argument, etc..CAN WE ALL AGEE ON THIS..I don't know what else to say. But I dislike the battle, jokes, toward one another.. Lets plese respcet one another.... Can you agree?

I am looking for a church in Long Beach, CA. I guess I am struggling with my spiritual path....I am not looking for any sort of church that focuses on one denomination (Catholic, Methodist, etc...) - I just want to look for a church that focuses on spiritual paths'....something non-denominational. Something to help me with my growth.

Thank you

I asked her to disprove what Ken Miller said and she started speaking in tongues. It sounded like gibberish to me.

i keep reading that one of the main faults people see about religion is the bible.

i dont get it.

the bible was written by PEOPLE. people are flawed, stupid, and selfish.
sure these people MIGHT CLAIM that these are god's words... but heck do you believe every wacko that says god talks to them?
i dont.

i REFUSE to believe that god would pick ANYONE over anyone else to hear his/her/it's voice.

i also notice that alot of people use the bible's faults to pick out faults in FAITH. which shouldnt be the case. FAITH and RELIGION are TWO different things.

religion is a social group for people of faith.
faith is just the act of believing in a higher power.

and my question is..... how many of you have taken the time to think about these kind of things?

I believe Atheists do not have health problem.
I think they aren't in debts. I think they have
wonderful life. I think all Atheists are White.
I think they all have good career and all.
If they were poor, black, disabled, or whatever, they
probably wouldn't be Atheists.
Am I right?

Multi-part question here.

1) Why is it that 99.85% of scientists in relevant fields and 95% of all scientists accept evolution?

and

2) Why do you think so many scientists and intelligent people reject creationism?

and lastly,

3) Why do so many questions submitted by creationists regarding science end up in the Religion and Spirituality section instead of the Science and Mathematics Section?

I have a paper due, over what I believe about Soteriology, or the study of salvation. The questions are drawn from a catechism. There are 24 total questions within this paper that I will answer. On executive decision, I chose to post each of these on Answers! but.... I am going to do them about once each day. They will be titled "Soteriology - Q # ______ . " I am going to poast them, one each day, because I am hoping to get as many different people to answer these questions as possible. If you would like to answer all 24, search them through my name, and answer as many as you would like to. PLEASE back up your answers with Scriptural references, theologian quotes, your opinions, etc. I want you to be as creative as possible, and I want as many people to participate as possible. Thank you for your participation! I do not want you to do my research. I want more opinions than just people I can find on my own. In a sense, think of it more as an interview.

Cosmologist say that the universe started 16 billion years ago, when all the matter in the universe was compressed into the size of a dot about this big------->. That little dot exploded, producing all the billions of galaxacies. These cosmologist say that one day all the matter is going to be compressed again into a small dot, and that it will explode again, producing what we have today. They say that this happens every 80-100 billion years.

My question, how do they know? How can they make such stupid, outlandish statements. What evidence is there that the universe shrinks down and explods every 100 billion years.

My last question, all the evolutionist here were quiet. Let's see if we have any pseudo-scientist here who wants to impress us with his knowledge of cosmology.

No linguistic acrobatics please. This is a simple (or should be) yes or no question.

Let me clarify: by "deity that can do anything" I mean a deity that can do anything, with respect to the laws of physics or the sensory perceptions of a given species He created, etc.

And for this question we're assuming intelligence, rational thinking, and benevolence in the psychological makeup of the deity.

I recently received an email, from a soldier explaning the real way it was over in Iraq. The real reason why people were fighting. There are 3 factions in Iraq, the Sunnis, Shiites, and Kurds. Sadam was a Sunni, so he kept the Shiites in check. Everyone hated the Kurds..who I had heard were Christians, and a minority. So are the Kurds , Christian or not ? And are they part of the sect of Islam ?

as you know we've definitaly proven parts of the bible wrong.
the bible has little to nothing on evolution as well as other old belifes.

so, christians excuse this with a swift "human error" and promptly
celebrate another successful dismissal of common sense

so to you christians, why not the rest of it? whose to say the 10
commandments arnt actually the 10 sins and vise versa? maybe we misinterpereted that too? why hack your life into little pieces,
obey a piece of text that was written by humans that didnt even understand what lightning was? why belive it? your not even allowed to question yourself why not? the whole thing follows no logic or reason to have faith.

does it bother you so much that we do. Is it because we truly believe and you can't? And if you feel we are all dumb and stupid, why do you care, it's nothing to you, so whats truly going on, do you have an uncontrollable desire to hate us, we don't hate you, so what is it?..please be honest and nice ..

Just stop right now whatever you're doing and ask Him to forgive you and come into your life. Ask Him to baptise you with the Holy Spirit so that you will have His power to live in this life. II Cor 5:17 says "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. Old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new".
