No linguistic acrobatics please. This is a simple (or should be) yes or no question.

Let me clarify: by "deity that can do anything" I mean a deity that can do anything, with respect to the laws of physics or the sensory perceptions of a given species He created, etc.

And for this question we're assuming intelligence, rational thinking, and benevolence in the psychological makeup of the deity.

No, the ominicient deity doesn't need a middleman, the middleman needs the deity. I will shrink the entire universe, and any questions you may have about it into one small sentence that will apply to any other question you may ever have, any sitituation you may find yourself in, or any set of circumstances life may throw at you. I give you this information as a servent of the most high God who owes is salvation to Jesus Christ and any real understanding to the Holy Spirit of that trinity.

YOU EITHER SERVE GOD OR YOU DON'T, THE REST IS B.S.

Apply that little thought to your next delimma and see if it helps.

OK, let me make it simple for YOU. God does what HE wants to do, in HIS own time. Not yours! And if you did REALLY listen, with faith in your heart, even an atheist jerk like you could and would hear him loud and clear. And you can not apply science to a Deity that does not have to follow the laws of nature. He makes his own laws. Now, was that simple enough for you? Or do I have capitalize everything for you?

I am tired of you jerks trying to start trouble. Get a life of your own and stay the hell out of ours.

in short, yes.

God has laws: one of them is that a spirit cannot enter the physical realm without a body or human consent. Since animals don't have much influence over mankind (as well have dominion over them) a human is needed to operate on earth, but not neccessarily communicate, as talking is talking. you just need to listen.

...and YOU don't want "linguistic acrobatics" after that last statement?

No, God does not NEED a "middleman"....he CHOOSES to communicate himself accordingly. Our response is always by choice -- and faith.

One of the many traits of God is Holiness. One of the many traits of man is unholiness. God's only son bridges that gap. So can a diety that can do anything do it the way to please Himself or to please an unrepentant man, of course He will do it as He sees fit.

A real diety would need no middleman.
