Tell me what we are to do and not do [according to our works for Him] as followers of Christ.

I find often that believers show more spite, anger, and selfrighteousness than the true works of God that they should. Especially when it somes to people of other faiths/beliefs/religions.

I am asking this of followers of Christ, as well as those of other faiths/religions/beliefs, because I have found that by asking EVERYONE, you can get a broader prospective on a question/topic.

Good for you! Just reading your question makes me want to tell you to be yourself. You seem to be intelligent, sincere and open-minded. Teach by example. I am in the category of "other faiths/religions/beliefs" but I do believe in the Golden Rule.
You made my evening.

Take a share in the ministry.
Do the works Jesus did while he was here on earth.

Commanded to Preach:
Matthew 24:14 14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

Jesus disciples: Acts 5:42; And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus.

Jesus talking: Acts 20:20; while I did not hold back from telling YOU any of the things that were profitable nor from teaching YOU publicly and from house to house

We are ordered to preach: Acts 20:42; Also, he ordered us to preach to the people and to give a thorough witness that this is the One decreed by God to be judge of the living and the dead

Matthew 28:18,19,20 And Jesus approached and spoke to them saying “All authority has been given me in heaven and on the earth, 19 God therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you
And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.

Acts 10:42 Also he ordered us to preach to the people and to give a thorough witness

2Timothy 4:2 preach the word, be at t urgently in favorably season, in troublesome season

The most important thing when doing the "works of God' as you put it is to be led by the Holy Spirit. If we are led by the Holy Spirit, our actions will virtually be taken over and the Spirit will move our lips and give us the right things to say. Thats why, whenever I do a public sermon, I pray for the Holy Spirit to take me over because when it does, the Spirit moves my lips and plan absolutely nothing as to what I'll say, then later when I see a tape or audio of what I said I will be astonished at the things I said.

Also it is important not to get arrogant or self-righteous. Everything done that is led by the Spirit, the righteousness that is attained belongs to the Spirit, not ourselves.

good job you at the on the spot are not God innit. a real Christian is in Christ by ability of religion and conception in him because of his grace. In that procedure you modify your ideas about sin and search for forgiveness. observe once you examine the recent testomony each and every of the places the position it says IN CHRIST. Now fruit is yet another count number number. we are said as in accordance to his applications. My question to you is: How did you recognize which of your works are good works and that are filthy rags?

That is why the Bible says that we should study(His Word) to shew ourselves approved. That way if any one comes to you with anything that you have not read and studied in His Word, you know it is not true. Everything that we should know is found in the Bible. May God Bless U.
