fall of man. simple as that.
christ taught peace, love, unity, & respect, but mankind manipulatited it into a scapegoat for war, hate, anarchy & terror.

Why don't you look to Christ to show you what He taught on Christianity..why keep nagging at imperfect human beings who are spending their life trying to become more like Christ? Why judge Christianity on us..look to the source for the example.
Perhaps most of you are just wanting an excuse to show us the "goodness" of humanity huh?....Well it is not perfect either..you can judge Christianity by our shortcomings but 100 fingers can point back and show that humanity withough Christ is as bad..if not worse.

It teaches goodness, but it teaches that our own goodness is as filthy rags and that we need God's goodness to find favor with God. Words like GRACE, OR IMPUTED RIGHTEOUSNESS describe the necessity of Christ's goodness and not ours.
YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN TO TRULY UNDERSTAND.

If something teaches people that they are bad, is that why some may act like it? Maybe certain ones would have an easier time behaving themselves like us nonbelievers if their religion taught them that they are good people and that that is an important factor...

It is most certainly NOT PROOF. You really need to READ the ANSWERS to the last question. It tells me that YOU ARE WRONG! It takes a lot of grit to admit you are wrong rather than you are right... Why don't you 'fess up and say so?

It is very much already understood, that you cannot earn your way to heaven. That faith in Christ is necessary. However the Bible (Gods word) says that faith & good deeds go hand in hand.
John 1:12
12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God—
Those who believe have the "right to become children of God". But faith with out good works is dead.
James 2:17-19
17In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
18But someone will say, "You have faith; I have deeds."
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do.
19You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.
Many people without faith & with faith are without good works. We ALL should try to do more good, believer or non. Trust me the Bible DOES NOT say that once you are a Christian you are without sin & free to judges non-believers, or that you can sin as much as you want & still go to heaven! IT DOES NOT SAY THAT!!!
The Bible is full of teachings of kindness, compassion, love, SACRIFICE, unselfishness, etc. etc. etc. As well as very good rules/commands to follow!

no, it's only proof that you ask nonsensical questions, and are so deeply in love with the sound of your own tortured "logic' that you don't even read and comprehend the responses...
