Is it possible to meet God? If anyone is offended by my question please excuse my question and just ignore it.

Just wondering if anyone has had an encounter with God in a physcial way, face to face.

I'm really not interested in any answers like: I met him in a dream etc..or I had some vision etc.

thank for any answers

i.e. do not worry about what you will eat etc. Was he also talking to the children who starve?

This is not a sarcastic question, I have followed his teachings all my life, I believe in the good words, but have questions...

do you consistently deny the existence of God because you personally have never seen him but you reject out of hand personal testimony from theists who claim to have experienced God as a reality in thier lives?

Archaeological evidence suggests we (homo sapiens) shared the planet with at least 2 other human-like creatures (homo erectus and neanderthal), that is, our existences overlapped here on earth. Somehow we won the lottery and avoided extinction.

If we descended from a common ancestor, as science believes, how does the fundamentalist creationist get around the fact that 3 different species of "human-like" creatures existed at the same time? Or that we were last to appear on the scene?

Curious about your thoughts.

OK, I've heard that Catholicism is a branch of Christianity, and that it means something about "universal" So if it is a branch, why isn't it Christianity?

And he made us in his Image, then that would make us Perfect and everything that he creates Perfect. Nothing of Flaw can come from a Perfect Creator.

That said, Why do we sin? Each and every single person ever known to exist has sinned, will sin, and is sinning. Does that mean Sinning is also Perfect?

Or does the concept of being Perfect also include Flaws.

I don't know what I'm talking about anymore excuse me while I serve myself some Tea.

Mark 15:34 .....'My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?'

This makes no sense. This right there is proof from the Bible that Jesus was not God.

If people don't live forever, if we die as if we were never alive, what does it matter if the human race goes on? You're not going to care when you dead. Who cares about your lineage? Once you die, it's like you were never alive.

An example is a Creationist who recently said "Despite our advances, radiography testing still only works on this already thought to be millions of years old. Anything newer and it says they are also millions of years old."

It's very easy to do some simple research to see that different radiometric dating methods are good for different ranges. The one most people are familiar with is Carbon 14 dating. The oldest it is even used for is about 60 thousand years. It has been used on items from historic times and shown to be accurate.

But like I said, it is simple to find information on the internet.to show the Creationist was repeating something that is untrue. There is no doubt in my mind he has been told before it is untrue. So is that breaking the 9th Commandment when he repeats falsehoods that if actually true would mean scientists are telling lies about the accuracy of radiometric dating?

Don't you think a lot of their basic principles are in direct conflict with the teachings of Jesus? I mean, the left wing emphasizes sharing with the poor, helping those in need, seeking peaceful solutions to problem, while the right wing favours big business and a preoccupation with wealth along with capital punishment and war. So please enlighten me.

So, in India, you have a lot of terrorist attacks by Muslims. I'm guessing that India has a lot of terrorism because of its large amount of Muslims, with the majority being Hindus. It also has over a billion people.

So, the Muslims bombed a Hindu temple last year. I am Hindu, and my family is highly devoted to Hanuman. And I don't remember, but my mom said it was a Hanuman temple that was bombed. When I heard that, I started to cry. I'm 13.

So, in the subject of terrorism in India, would you be on the Musilm's side, or the Hindu's side, and WHY? I really want to know what your reasoning is.

Thanks!

Don't you think it would have been MUCH better for him to mention the difference between Muslims and Muslim extremists who are terrorists?

-By just talking about "Muslim extremists", he is only going to further the hatred that Muslims in the middle east have for Americans. He should have said that he understands that there is a difference between a peaceful God fearing Muslim, and a Muslim extremist terrorist.

Does anyone else think that he is deliberately trying to equate Islam with terrorism? If you do not, do you think that many Christians will listen to his words and make this (incorrect) connection?
