Is it possible to meet God? If anyone is offended by my question please excuse my question and just ignore it.

Just wondering if anyone has had an encounter with God in a physcial way, face to face.

I'm really not interested in any answers like: I met him in a dream etc..or I had some vision etc.

thank for any answers

Inspector Free Thinker, i pray that God shows you a great miracle, showing He is our God. Satan has such a bind on you, i am so sad to hear you speak against your Father who created you and DIED for you. Lord have mercy on your soul. I love you even if you hate me for loving my Father who is the Alpha and Omega, Beginning and End, First and Last.

No it really isnt possible. Sorry! Moses was the very closest to God I think, and God only aloud him to open his eyes as he past moses. =D And even if it WERE possible, it could never be on earth, because those that love Jesus will meet Him in the air, he will not touch earth, and it will be quicker than a blink! Sorry about it, but God is too mighty! And once a man in the bible (whos name I cannot remember!) tried to see Him, though he could not because he was so incredibly bright! He is light, and can you imagine seeing love as itself? That's what he is, PURE love, the very source. When you picture love what do you see? A gorgeous realtionship between a man and a woman, a beautiful kiss, or perhaphs a surrendurance of lives, for the man to protect and care for the woman, and the woman to love and comfort, and let that man trust her. To support him and keep his confidence. BUT- could you picture love, or see it as itself? Can you see wind? No, but you can touch it. That man became blind instantly. Human eyes were not built to take in such glory, we are ment to feel it, and trust it. Remember the saying " Seeing is'nt believing, believing is seeing." You probably werent thinking in terms of that though.
I say the best gift I will ever recieve is to know Him, and witness all his wonders! Sometimes I feel like I would like to see His face, it must be undescribable. But Im already blessed to have the closest thing, his presence at all times.

God bless!!! And...

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

I met God in the flesh when they put me alone in my room (My older brother was moved out) for the first night and my older brother, three older sisters, and my father, would not tell me what happened to my mother. God said, "Parker, everything will be alright one day," and then took my mother to Heaven in front of me. This happened when I was almost four years old. Henceforth, I became cursed not being able to believe in God or Heaven. I went on to save two lives and nearly died doing it. I took on eight police at 18 for beating a handcuffed Mexican/American while a white man did it and Officer Gates was fired. I caused Airforce One to fly all over the place. I am the man the terrorist stole it from off the Internet for their stupid psychological warfare and here I am knowing they are all in Heaven. I am the only person to ever have a President go door to door with his book.
So yes it is possible to meet God in the flesh while on earth as I did, but you don't want to. Just wait and you'll meet him someday. It is not called Blessed, it is called Cursed, and God knows this so doen't ask to meet him. Besides then you'll become a weirdo like Moses and no one will believe you anyway.

What if God really did visit say Dayton, Ohio. Say as a regular guy. Like in the movie Perfect Stranger. Who would really know. I'm conditioned for a dramatic return, which according to the Bible will be when he return to gather the flock. But does he pop around here and there. I say yes. He could and I would bet he has. That's something to ask him.

In the year 1820, a young man named Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ personally. As a result of this experience, Joseph Smith became a great prophet of God. You can read his account of his experiences here:

Jesus promised it to those who attain a certain level of perfection and to those that keep the commandments.
Abrham met God and two angels, but elsewhere it says that it was 3 angels, either way, abraham had food prepared.
Jesus appeared at the edge of the lake and ate fish with his disciples so I am pretty sure he can appear anytime he wants. but there is a requirement to fulfill.

You experience God by doing for Him. Love is a human virtue. If you go about loving and helping others, God changes the virtue of love into a Godly virtue. As you love others, this Godly virtue helps you to draw close to God and love Him in ways you cannot imagine.

Yes. God i beleive speaks to us with the sounds and colors of nature. We all can hear God by hearing birds singing, wind blowing, rain falling , we can see God by the color of the skin and by the green of a leaf.

Mmmm.... meaning, I trust, face to mortal human face? Probably not. God likes to be ambiguous and appear to people in visions, if anything. Last time He tried to talk to His people in a physical form He got lynched for it. :S
