An example is a Creationist who recently said "Despite our advances, radiography testing still only works on this already thought to be millions of years old. Anything newer and it says they are also millions of years old."

It's very easy to do some simple research to see that different radiometric dating methods are good for different ranges. The one most people are familiar with is Carbon 14 dating. The oldest it is even used for is about 60 thousand years. It has been used on items from historic times and shown to be accurate.

But like I said, it is simple to find information on the internet.to show the Creationist was repeating something that is untrue. There is no doubt in my mind he has been told before it is untrue. So is that breaking the 9th Commandment when he repeats falsehoods that if actually true would mean scientists are telling lies about the accuracy of radiometric dating?

There are some on here who claim to be christians but lie constantly, and then lie some more to cover up those lies. Lying is a sin and honesty should be encouraged. If wrong, admit it and move on. Apologize to the party you've wronged and learn from it.

Very exciting the polorized comments are in this area to this answer. i'm a comparatively knowledgeable guy or woman. I truthfully have fairly some stages and function many situations been surprised at the two aspects of this arguement. what's to assert that a God of such emense skill that created an entire universe does no longer use evolution to end what he placed into place to acheive his very own ends. there is not any conflict with that proposition. Even have been we pondering the assumption of reproduction "each and every variety after its very own" fact interior the Bible. what's amazingly exciting is that the Genesis account very heavily follows what the geological evidence shows to be the sequence of activities of the introduction and evolution of our planet. The geological epochs as have been defined via paleogeological technological know-how which experience exceedingly much completely the Bible's account of the introduction of the planet the place first there replaced into no longer something and then the heavens and the earth, then the seas and the land, and then the fishes interior the seas and animals and birds and so on. specific it is not in good sequence yet once you stand back and seem at the two you won't be able to help yet see the corrosponding activities of creations interior the evolution of the planet and all that's in it. Frankly i think of all people with any straight forward experience does no longer take aspects in this dialogue yet could attempt to rectify the perceived variations and seem for a straight forward floor. As for the two evolutionists and creationists only as is often the case the place one group takes a postition yet another group will take the opposing place. Very Very unhappy polorization of many brillant minds. The "however the Bible says" vs "the evidence shows" arguement isn't solved till there extremely is an AllMighty God author that comes right down to earth sometime and slaps people up area the pinnacle and says " awaken " and please don't get me happening Armegeddon. Who is conscious possibly he will due only that or is he giving us a "awaken" call outstanding now?????

Yes. The Bible says that it is a lie to sin intentionally and brazenly. Romans 6 supports this.

"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid; for how shall we, who are dead to sin, live any longer therein?"

God does forgive sins such as lying, but we are not supposed to lie over and over again deliberately without remorse. This takes advantage of God's willingness to forgive, and if a person takes an obviously cavalier approach to sin, God will eventually get angry and that person will be punished.
So, if that person is doing it intentionally, he shouldn't be doing that.
By the way, the ninth commandment forbids false witness against one's neighbor, not lying. That's in a different part of the Bible: "Lying lips are an abomination unto the LORD" (Proverbs 12:22).
Blessings.

Such people might be better off if they were lying. At least then they would know the truth. But such remarks come from utter ignorance of science and the natural world, not from any intent to deceive. Self-deception is the worst kind of lie.

" And The Truth shall set you free" John 8:32.
But remember truth is subjective, unlike fact. Allow the creationist his delusions, it can only truly hurt one person, him.

Interesting question. I think willful ignorance is heinous, and willful ignorance is the only thing keeping Creationism going.
