Is it really a fallen angel or is it just a metaphor for evil? I want to know what others think

I dont just mean God;I mean anything.you dont tak a step foward or backward without first having faith the ground your stepping on is solid.You dont put food in your mouth without assuming or having faith that the food is safe to eat;you wouldnt go to work is you did not believe that you would be paid for your labor.You wouldnt go to school or take you kid to scholl if you didnt have faith that the school was meeting your needs.And you wouldnt make friends with someone if you didt have faith that that person would be friendly back.

So why is faith so familiar?But yet so foriegn to people when it comes to God?

Hebrews 11:6-But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

I can understand the feelings of Muslims on issues like veil, being photographed and many other issues which may be prohibited in Islam. What I can't understand is why don't they also demand the Islamic Criminal Code like chopping off their hands for theft etc?

Why do some (a very few of you, but I can't help but notice it) of you atheists jump in and say it's all bunk?

We have a hard enough time with the Christians telling us that we're going to hell all the time without getting grief and spam from you, too. I love atheists and I love most of the ones on this site, but can you please be respectful? We don't try to convert you or tell you that you're wrong, so if someone asks for a Wiccan / Pagan answer to a Tarot question or something similar, can't you just be respectful and not answer?

When I see a question asking for an atheist persepctive, I try to give an atheist answer, and if I can't do that, I don't answer because I don't want to run someone down if they want to be an atheist.

Can we please get along, since we already have the "Christian Converters" gunning for both our groups? Since we don't ry to convert you or tell you we think you're wrong, can you extend the same favor, please?

If not, please say why. :(

PS. Christians this is a genuine question. You either answer it or not - but this is not abuse. So don't report it. If the bible is the only book to read to understand your Christ, don't stifle debate on it - especially critical ones. Because God gave people brains to think things over and never said our minds should not be questioning. I'm not swearing or undermining your God and you should not hamper my search for the truth by alleging abuse when there is none.

When you get there, you could be talking to Jeffrey Dahmer, and he would be saying things like "Man, I'm so sorry about all that killing and eating people. I don't know what I was thinking!? Now that we're here in heaven, I understand how wrong I was."

Is it just unfair for him to be there and realize how wrong he was....is it a matter of revenge so that he must be tortured in hell, or is it a matter of realizing he was wrong?

Hi, i know every1 get annoyed very quickly nowadays when asking religious questions. I'm not offending any1 or being religious something, just that:
you(Atheists) say that all living animals and humans have been evolutioned during time. for example you say humans from monkeys(or whatever Atheists say, put the monkey as an example). but who created the monkey at the first place? evolutioned by some other kind of animal? but what about that animal and those before it?!?! where does it end? or start!

When theirs a quetion about creation or how things came to be;non-believers will always explain HOW the science works and how all the materials interact.But if there was nothing to start with then there is a WHY to the question cuase it doesnt make sense to have HOW if you dont have a WHY.
Come on,we dont make chairs without purpose,we dont make tables without purpose.How do you honestly say the universe has no purpose when you know any&everything has a reason for being made?
How come ya'll cant explain where the materials to create the universe came from?

Faith has answer for this question;the answer is cuase there is a WHY.

Can you without violating your concience say there is not a WHY to the HOW?
It's one thing to not know the answer to WHY;but its another to say there's not one when you know whole heatedly everything has a reason WHY?

were really smart women who just threaten patriacal society and some religion in particular???? I do not think all women tortured and killed were really witches.... I think they might have been killed by the inquisition and witch - hunters for other reasons... maybe power, Money????
