My brother tells me that there are receptors in the brain for cannibas. I really do not see what is wrong with marijuana. I quit because it was causing problems in my marriage and I looked tired when I smoked. I miss it though. I wish that I could smoke in moderation. Peace out.

these labels of narcotics came from man so right away that's deceiving.I imagine these plants have properties in them that are helpful to man but you know we have to take what we have another step and misuse comes into play.I always thought the cocoa plant was meant to be chewed to curb the appetite and give energy. You can't think God wanted us to turn the plant into crack. The weed plant is most certainly used for increasing the appetite and calming the nerves,it sure can put a different perspective on anger after a joint.I just don't think plants should be illegal and I don't think weed should be illegal either. All medicines have some side effects for some people even aspirin,so of course everything isn't good for every body.

you gotta wonder, in the garden of eden, why would god create the tree of knowledge if he just wanted it to be there to provide temptation and lead to the fall of humanity? if you listen to the traditional biblical view of the story you might be inclined to think that these mood/mind altering natural substances are akin to the tree of knowledge and they exist solely for us to resist them...
the gnostics on the other hand see the JHVH-1 god as the devil, and the serpant as the messiah. God was trying to keep us down and stupid while the serpant wanted to show us the way of knowledge and truth, to uncover the veil that "god" has laid over our eyes.
and perhaps that is the truth behind these drug/substances that alter our perceptions and broaden our minds.
but then what do i know, i'm just a dude...

The plants that produce these narcotics have other uses, yes. Marijuana is made from the dried leaves and flowering tops of the hemp plant, which provides useful fibers for making rope and cloth. Tobacco leaves, abused by smokers, can also be used in making disinfectants and insecticides.
Those are just a couple of examples.

Because God knew most of us wouldn't be able to afford to take an actual vacation. So he came up with an alternative. Seriously, I find these substances to be really nice. However, I learned that if I continued with these substances it was going to affect my development. Proceed with care!

these all have medical properties and have been used for many years by people the world over for that reason.
the abuse of any narcotic or hallucinogenic or mind altering item is not in any Christian teachings that I know of.

I don't know. Maybe since it's said that he knows stuff before it even happens, he created it on purpose. Maybe it has some kind of underlying benefit for something. I know pot has medical benefits. Maybe that other stuff has benefits too and we just don't know about them yet, ya think?
