It is generally thought to be a temporary feedback problem where the brain interprets new sensory information as coming from memory. Nothing to be alarmed by just weird.

i really feel pretty certain that my deja vu originates from dreams. but generally it is the result of a similar situation that has happened that you don't remember well. it seems like the repetitions keep adding up because of the likelihood that given the circumstances this is the next in the sequence. if you are doing something lately that has brought it on, it is probably something new you are doing that you're cognitive memory equates to a vaguely similar experience.
cognition is...mmm...i might say like a private detective. it can often pull up a lot of clues, but not solve the mystery. when a memory is "gone" from your "usual" memory, i.e., you had basically forgotten it, cognition may be able to restore part or all of it thru reliving a similar situation, reviving a smell, taste, feel, sound, etc, whatever. like how you're sure you know the name of a song, or a word you're searcing for, etc. it's there somewhere in your brain, just as the solution to a mystery is somewhere in the world. the body's burried somewhere. what are the chances of recovering it? depends upon the number of clues, ease of locating them, and perhaps the skill of the p.i. (cognition).

That's not true, the explanation for "déjà vu" (which means "already seen") is that when you see a certain object, person or place you think you have seen it, but it could be 2 things:
1- either you dreamt it and are seen it again in real life
or
2- you are seeing part of something you have seen but you are mixing it with something you have not seen and your mind thinks have happened again before...
it's hard to explain but i am experiencing it very often lately.

You did not fully explain what you are feeling so it's hard to tell. Many people have precognition, I often see things before they happen. Its hard to know the meaning unless you study. You can either go with it and consider it a blessing or you can fear it and not develop the talent. As with everything, it's up to you. Deja vu, is a time travel, it shows you have psychic ability.

It happens to me, too, especially during the summer.
Reruns of Law and Order
Reruns of CSI
Reruns of Without a Trace
Reruns of Cold Case
I know this has to be more than just deje vu! It happens every summer!

Personally I've never heard of 'deja vu' specifically happening when you are about to die.....but there are lots of time in life where it seems you have been in the exact same position just sometime back, like history repeats....don't worry and cheer up!

Well when im in a deja vu moment and i come to realize it....i just do the opposite of wat i felt i did you know.....instead of stabbing the guy i rip him right through the heart.... ;-P
Just kidding but seriously i stop and don't move if i feel at that moment i would like to do something different i do just that....and i think the reason your having it frequently is only because your psychic powers are acting up....were you one of the 4400.....?!!? or may have jumped out from heros....?

I never heard about the dying thing before. It's possible that's some sort of superstition. Read the link below.

You aren't going to die. It probably is nothing.
But if you are worried or it keeps happening, you should go talk to a doctor about it. They actually can examine you and they understand how your brain works a lot better.
