When you get there, you could be talking to Jeffrey Dahmer, and he would be saying things like "Man, I'm so sorry about all that killing and eating people. I don't know what I was thinking!? Now that we're here in heaven, I understand how wrong I was."

Is it just unfair for him to be there and realize how wrong he was....is it a matter of revenge so that he must be tortured in hell, or is it a matter of realizing he was wrong?
Just curious?

Investor: that's the kind of thing I'm looking for. So, you think that you will carry most of your human emotions over to heaven, and you would be angry and want revenge if the man who killed you was in heaven?
Thanks. I appreciate your honesty.

thatgangstamusic: thanks for the reply. So, you feel that heaven's justice will be just like justice here on earth? Interesting. It seems to conflict with the idea that christians have regarding "old things being washed away and made new", but there is often such conflicting thoughts in religion.
I really appreciate your answer.

No, man, urban sprawl.. too much traffic. Heaven has a limited growth ordinance. Kind of like Portland, Oregon.

I dont think so. It would be better for any one individual but it would harm society as a whole. How do you think human history would have played it if we knew we would all go to heaven. Today, the world has become a lot less religious but in the ancient world, even up to the 19th century, god was a huge part of many people's lives

The unrighteous and the wicked would not be content living in Heaven--even if they were allowed to enter the gates. There must be penalties imposed for wicked acts and God, in His infinite wisdom, has exacted that principle.

Jeffrey Dahmer and his ilk will realize their misfortune and what got them there to that world of torment.

The time to prepare for righteous eternal living is now while in the mortal flesh.

In my personal mind I feel like someone like that shouldnt be forgiven even if they are very sorry... but thats the wrong way for me to think. My sins really are no better in God's eyes, so I should expect the same mercy on one person as I would myself.

Id love if all of us, everyone...would go to heaven and live in peace forever.

Some religions believe in universal salvation - that there is inherent good in all people no matter how horrid some of their actions may be. To them, Dahmer would indeed be in Heaven. They have no need of torture or vengeance.

I don't think it would be heaven for me or for Jeffrey Dahmer's victims if they had to deal with him.

And if he were in heaven, what makes you think he'd regret having eaten people? He'd still be the same sick character.

God gave all people freedom of choice. Some use their freedom to separate themselves from God and do evil.

No it wouldn't be better if everyone went heaven. If people won't accept God's way then they should not reap the benefits of His things. it isn't revenge either. It is not works that get you to heaven. Hellooooo..Why does everyone think that? God designed a way for everyone to go to heaven through his Son, Jesus Christ. If you accept it, you go to heaven. If you don't, you don't go to heaven. Simple....God is the true and righteous judge. You condemn yourself to eternity in hell, not God. He is a just God, so if you go against the way he made it, you have chosen hell and he has to allow you to go because he is a just God. Everyone wants the things of God, without the God of the things. That is what is unfair.

Heaven is where people go who love God and want to be with him forever. Hell is where people go who do not want to be with God, and the eternal pain of that is that they are eternally separated from what would make them most happy. God is just, and he would never force someone to go to heaven who would rather be off doing something else.

NO.
When you die their is nothing about you you can change,
God would have to have police their to stop the crime from getting out of control!
THAT WOULD NOT BE HEAVEN!
when you do something wrong you know it is wrong so people that were bad in this life will be bad in the next!

I think everyone can go to heaven and everyone will one day. I believe that God is ready and willing to forgive everyone for every bad thing we have done. I think for people who are already in hell, they just need to forgive themselves and ask for God's forgiveness and they too can get to heaven. Nobody is too bad to be forgiven.
