It is where we actually exist at, while we seem to be playing out our life in the material universe.

Our true home, or primary reality. Our earthly existence being our secondary reality. Another name for what we often call the spirit realm.

We are blocked from actually getting there in physical form but we can under the right circumstances return there in spirit or in our thoughts. Some can do this in meditation by withdrawing from the reality of perception and focusing their thoughts into the astral or spiritual reality. This is often considered nonsense by those who can not do it but is seen as being more real that the so-called physical reality by those who have developed this skill.

The astral or spirit reality contains the sum of all existence. Ever thing that ever was or will be and everything else. All the knowledge of all the ages awaits anyone willing to take the time to develop the skills to access it.

The cost is high because one must learn to withdraw their focus from the physical reality to such an extent that it becomes difficult to interact with people whose focus is firmly planted in the physical.

It can be done but it is no easy task and requires an enormous investment in time and energy.

Love and blessings Don

The theory goes, that along with your conscious self, you also have selves on a astral plane. Ones that you're not really aware of. These selves are not restricted to normal rules of science, but instead exist in another plane- the astral plane- and if you can tap into this other-worldly level of consciousness, you can go places and see things that otherwise would be unknown to you.
There was a place in Virginia I believe, called the Monroe Institute. They did work on astral projection. Getting yourself into a semi-hypnotic state is part of it, and some say that listening to the right sounds through headphones helps to "synchronize" the 2 hemispheres of the brain, to make it easier to astrally project. There is a lot of info out there on astral projection. good luck

is the plane that come after the 3rd plane known as the physical,
it could be described as the spiritual one, all the psychological things reside on that plane. The astral plane is merely a plane where demons, angels and that stuff can move,
The astral plane is actually the spiritual plane.

The Astral is Heaven. Genesis says the "Firmament",
(Heaven), was below the "waters above", and the "waters below".
Kabbalah says the Astral is actually three dimensions.
2 Corinthians 12 mentions out of body travel and the
"third" Heaven.
We all travel astrally at times during sleep. Our spirits came from Heaven, and when we leave this experience, they rerurn to Heaven. Unless of course, one misuses ones free will and rejects it! Then there are plenty of negative realities out there for them to experience as well.
