No one can tell you how to pray.
Pray from your heart - that is the best way to help her.
There is no set formula for how to pray. God hears what is on your heart and will answer your prayer.

well firstly that a prayer is a communication between an individual and God, to reach God you need to pray in name of Jesus and ask according to his will, simply give to God if you want to receive from Him.

I've always felt especially moved by the Hail Holy Queen:
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
our life, our sweetness and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve;
to thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy toward us;
and after this our exile,
show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Pray for us O holy Mother of God, that we may be worthy of the promises of Christ
Edit: I got a "bad answer" rating for posting the Hail Holy Queen?!? Atheists are some strange people.

WOW i did not know their was such a thing!
Take this advice, do not repeat other peoples prayers, they are other peoples prayers!
Just ask God what you want He will grant it to you if it is not for your harm.

when the disciples asked Christ what to pray he said pray this,"Our father who art in heaven".Try the Lords Prayer it seems to be the choice for the Christ so it should be good enough for us.

St. Jude is supposed to be the patron Saint of lost causes. I wish you the best!
St. Jude Prayer
A Prayer to St. Jude Thaddeus
Most Holy Apostle, St. Jude Thaddeus, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of his enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors you, and I invoke you as the special advocate of those who are in trouble and almost without hope. Help me to realize that through our faith we triumph over lifes difficulties by the power of Jesus who gave his life for us. Come to my assistance that I may receive the consolation and succor of heaven in all my needs, trials, and sufferings, particularly (here make your request) and that I may praise God with you and all the saints forever.
St. Jude, apostle of the Word of God, pray for us.
St. Jude, follower of the Son of God, pray for us.
St. Jude, preacher of the love of God, pray for us.
St. Jude, intercessor before God, pray for us.
St. Jude, friend of all in need, pray for us.
St. Jude, pray for us, and all who invoke your aid.
Thank You Saint Jude for answering my prayers.
