that Masons were not a religion but an organization. Well, if this is true can anyone explain why there is a Masonic symbol on the podium in the chapel in the United Nations building?

I mean we cant see it,we cant smell it,lets see.....litsening.....cant hear it.We cant seem to percieve it in anyway.

So by reason of emperical evidence, you dont have a brain. How do we know you dont have marshmellows inside your skull?Or that aliens from a distant planet is feeding information to say?Or maybe like a robot you have wires and circuits for brains possible?

We are not able to percieve if there is a brain inside ya'll head,so technically we must conclude ya'll have no brains right?

Oh wait!We could get an electric saw and open your skull.Oh,but if we did that and you did have brains, that would kill you. So were back at square 1;no way to confirm you have brains.

So how do we confirm ya'll have brains?Surely you wouldnt say that we just have to trust you. That we just have to have faith.Ya'll wouldnt say that right? But you would agree that since we cant saw open your skull and see;the only conclusion is ya'll have no brains right? This conclusion is right isnt it?

A religious wedding - not FREE! Church collection? Sounds like a scam to me, but where does all the money go? Into the pockets of priests, so they can drive fancy cars and have a fancy house, sex was around lot longer than marriage and so we all know that "no sesx before marriage" is bs. Hmm Priests, i think they are actors, they use religion to get at out pocket cash!! Notice how lots of priests are fat, they have been eating good food as well as living in luxury!!

why you believe as you do? I am not interested in anyone pointing fingers at each other, nor am I looking to change anyone's mind. Just looking for information on what you believe and why it satisfies you? Thank you in advance.

Evolution should not be taught in schools, the Bible should. They even have the nerve to tell me my DNA shares 98.5% of that of a monkey! The last time I checked I did not look 1.5% different from a baboon... In fact I look much different! People must be incredibly bored to make up these lies...

2 Timothy 3 and 4 talks about the last days. It states that men will be haters of G-d and lovers of their own opinions. But this line really makes me think of Dawkins:

"the time will come when most men will not listen to sound doctrine, and men will hire more and more teachers to tell them what their burning ears desire to hear."

None of these things were true 60 years ago...but they sure are today. More true than 2 years ago.

How do you people who practically worship this man feel about the bible predicting his type 2000 years ago. Does that really make him seem as smart as you thought he was 1 minute ago?

Blessings for the truth in 2007

I thought I understood what Jesus was saying in this verse, but a recent interchange with another R&Ser has me wondering .

Luke 6:37
[ Judging Others ] "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven.

Do you think Jesus is admonishing you *not* to be judgemental, and warning you of what will happen if you are?

Or is Jesus giving you leave to judge others, and letting you know that you will also be judged?

Admonition with consequence, or permission with condition?

It seems that some Evangelical Christians are using the report link to stifle any views that conflict with their own. Are free thinkers really America's new heros?

many complain that Christians are "trying to force their religion" and that we are attempting to change laws based on our "religious beliefs."

But, our basic laws seem to be the same as the ten commandments:
Don't steal.
Don't murder.
etc.

and furthermore, Jesus said to treat your neighbor kindly and to pay your taxes.

Doesn't that about cover our laws? Since the ten commandments were written a zillion years ago and Jesus spoke more than 2k years ago, I can't see how this is being blamed on present day Christians.

Should we remove all laws that appear to be "religious based"??? How about if we are now allowed to steal, to murder, to evade taxes, ect. Would this make it a more tolerable place to live for those who detest Christianity?

I do hope you all recognize the jest in my tone. Can we just discuss this nicely?

PS- please avoid the topic of same-sex marriage and abortion. They have been beaten to death. THANKS

I find it very sad how people claim evolution is fact. Did they go back in time and witness it for themselves? No one knows if evolution is true. There are evidences that support either possibilities. The Earth was very different back then. Carbon and radio dating can't be reliable because the scientists that conducted them don't know for sure what type of variables may have existed back then that may have affected their results. Scientists have theories, not truth. No one is certain. Besides, it's well-known that the evolution theory is full of holes. Maybe evolutionists should stop ignoring the highest authority under God… the Bible (which mentions a large land creature that fits the description of a dinosaur. Coincidence? I think not.) We need to reintroduce these people to civilization because I find them insulting. I’m no monkey’s grandson!

Its a book addressing the massive dangers of religion and how it is destroying the world. Has anyone read it and what did you think?
